Strengths: 07 stinky frame is a dominator. No doubt about the strength taking it off drops and big gaps. low maintenance with the bushings and bearings. simple suspension system means predictable performance, which is enhanced by the shock you use.
Weaknesses: Paint chips easily, but that adds character. Heavy, but its DH. Some people hate them
Bottom Line:
This bike is great to ride and race. Its not the most desirable, nor the most expensive, but it packs years of wear and tear in it.
From a simple ride to the store to the moments where the world stops turning until you cross the finish line; it turns heads, takes the punishment, and leaves you thrilled every time.
Like every bike, maintain everything regularly, and it will be a warrior against the big expensive bikes. I love it.
Bike Setup: Sram X9 Drive train
brakes Hayes 9 203mm rotors
front shock Manitou Sherman Slider Plus 7" travel
rear Fox Vanilla R propeddal
carbon saddle and seatpost
sunrims and kenda navagal tires
Strengths: best damn thing ever will take a huge huck then you could land in to a dh race and win
Weaknesses: shifters hit my thumb
Bottom Line:
this is the sickest mtb dh fr monster in the world ive seen people fall from the sky with therse things and land and say lets do it bigger
this sing rocks and the suspension is so plush that you could ride anywhere with it any freerider downhiler should buy it
but dont go uphill with it
Favorite Trail: mine 30ft drop off a cliff and skinnies and bridges

Strengths: Strong, stiff, simple, balanced, rugged, good components and D.O.P.E. matter a lot, and are worthwhile on this 2007 frame. Great tire and mud clearance, even running two rings, D.O.P.E., and a rear 3.0 tire, free upgraded Kona rocker a big improvement, equipped like I've got it, it rails berms, flies really nice for a nose-heavy (Marz 888) bird, can tech or plow, low enough BB for stability but high enough for log hops, etc., NO brake jack with the D.O.P.E upgrade, front and rear suspension stay active at all times, low maintenance.
Weaknesses: Heavy, single pivot limited without D.O.P.E. addition for serious fun and 12mm rear thru axle capability, no 150mm rear axle, no 1.5" head tube for 2007 frame, lousy paint color and quality, even new, doesn't flie like a Cove Peeler (I guess you need a Cove Peeler for that), Chain guide/tensioner mounts.
Bottom Line:
If you want a no-frills, but incredibly capable, sturdy, stable and versatile FR, non-pro DH bike, buy a Stinky 2007 frame, the D.O.P.E. full-floater rear disc brake kit, some good components, and build it from the frame up. It won't just be the bike you learn on- you can keep it awhile, all the way up your learnng curve, believe it!

Strengths: Bomb proof bike, plush travel all around, D.O.P.E. system really reduces brake jack, rider positioning
Weaknesses: weight
Bottom Line:
This bike is perfect for freeride and downhill. This bike has ample travel front and rear, and has a very smooth feel. It's a bit heavy for XC, but can be pedaled. Recommended for anyone looking for a solid bike.
Strengths: This frame is very strong, and has good geometry for all around freeriding. Manuals easy and is very good on drops and technical terrain. This has also been a very reliable bike.
Weaknesses: After so much time of riding this bike I really don't think it has any real weaknesses. It has never held me back from trying things. However, it does have break jack and is not the lightest bike out there.
Bottom Line:
This is an excellent freeride bike, it excels for everyone from huckers (just want the NWD series to see what the stinky line is capable of) to agressive trail riders. I have seriously enjoyed this bike and have never had any problems. I have personally rode this bike on terrain varying from the rampage site in Virgin, Utah, to dirt jumps, to cross country in the canyon by my house and it has been great for it all.
Strengths: Frame is solid, and when the Fox Vanilla RC is adjusted right, it takes what you can dish, and prvides a good platform for sprinting.
Weaknesses: So far, I have found none.
Bottom Line:
I have ridden this bike on my personal trail( http://photos.nsmb.com/browseimages.php?do=searchresults&searchid=16486 ), At Snowshoe Freeride Park, local dirt jumps and even a little urban in Athens, Ohio. Skinnies, Drops, Jumps, Rocks, Roots.....this frame has done it all, no complaints and no weaknesses. I would expect the frames from 2003 - 2005 to perform on par with one another, but shock choices can make a difference. But my bottom line is this....This is a great frame and depending on the setup, can handle most and terrain you can throw at it. Complete bike price is a little high if you ask me, but if you build it custom, you can meet or exceed the value of the parts spec. I have invested $3100 and would put it up against the $3500 stock bike any day.

Strengths: Frame is very beefy. Good parts for what I paid.
Weaknesses: heavy (47lbs) but when your bombing down the hill who the hell cares?
Bottom Line:
Wicked bike. The parts Kona puts on their bikes are great. Its perfectly balanced with 7" front and rear.If your looking for a strong reliable downhill/freeride bike the kona Stinky is awsome.

Bottom Line:

Strengths: I LOVE SAINT except the deraliur isnt that good. the cable slips a lot but it hasnt even bent a little teeny bit. cranks are unbelievable. I love the Super
Weaknesses: Not to happy with the Fox R.C. it makes a lot of noise. and once again the deraliur is aight headset went out. kinda shoddy headset. bombproof rims
Bottom Line:
SICK this bike is a tank ...kind of in disguise. cross countrey is lame
