Strengths: The rims and tyres were awesome.never had a flat.chain stayed on quite well as well.Weaknesses: This bike also broke under the top tube.6 months later i finally got a warrenty/refund and got some dollar in my pocket. This has happened to everyone i know who had this model of bike.Bottom Line: Was good fun at the time i had it, just turned to custard when it broke.1 chilli!!

Strengths: fun for a while,came with resonable components etc. Never had a flat running the intense 909 tyres.Weaknesses: Cracked just underneath the top tube/seat stay. warrenty, but they no longer make them....lenghty process!!Bottom Line: It CRACKED, so i had to go out and buy a new bike!!

Strengths: awesome bike, hangs on really well especially over the rough stuff, corners without any effort!!
Climbs really well, even when you're standing up thrashing it.The front does wander a little.
Weaknesses: It isn't exactly light for going uphill, but i knew that from the start, just makes you stronger!! The interupted seat tube is a little frustating, but i just cut the seat pole down aqnd still have heaps of height left in it. The rear derailler smash's quite hard on the chain stay over the rough stuff, but thats not an issue, unless you're against "noise pollution".Bottom Line: Mmm,sooo much fun.Can handle some bigish hits as well, a stiffer spring in the front or the Manitou breakout plus with the 7 inch's would be rather nice.The stiffer spring would make it a little nicer on the climbs as well??It's always good to get a deal on a bike so that's why there is 5 chilli's!!

Strengths: It handles greately, with its 6inches of front/rear travel its can take all you throw at it plus it still pedals nicely for going uphill. The geometry makes it a great desceder and great at cornering.Weaknesses: It topples the scale at a farely large 41Lbs, it uses presta valves and the seat collar qr is kinda cheapBottom Line: This is a great freeride rig, the choice of components makes it a great all around bike perfect for taking anything your favourite trails might throw at you!!

Strengths: This is actually a review for the 2003 model but the only difference between the 2003 and the 04 is the tires, seriously.This bike is extremly light and plush. If you are an extreme rider and weigh less than 120 this is absoutly the best bike ever. It would also be good for a heavier person. Also if you are looking at other 04 bikes in this price range, the Drop Off fork is a dumb head delux. I paid 1779 for this bike at the end of the model year sooo i got a really good deal on it. This bike is nearly imposible to upgrade, unless you want a chain guide. iF YOU CAN FIND A GOOD DEAL BUY THIS BIKE.Weaknesses: well, when first got it the fork leaked, but that is manitous fault not K2's. They replaced it anywayBottom Line: This is the best bike I have ever ridden. The only thing that would make this bike better is if it had the new Manitou Sherman Breakout Plus[7 inches]. Buy from Pedal N spoke they give life time repairs. BUY IT NOW.
