Strengths: It can do everything, i have used it to do some xc riding, dirt jumping, and downhilling. its light and jumps really well, but if i want it to it will stay on the ground like a downhill bike.
Weaknesses: when things hit the frame, it makes some really wierd and somewhat scary noises. raw finish shows a lot more scuffs than i thought it would

Strengths: Sick bike does everything great
Weaknesses: It is not really a problem with the product but i have sent 3 emails to intenese and called the distributers i dont now how many times and i still cant get in contact with them. As regards to the flex in the rear triangle

Just another review to back up my other one. I have been reading other peoples reviews they seem to be talking about the bb being low. I have not incountered this problem. It is all about were it is possioned if the chain stay is short like it is on the sople style it should not be an issue and i have not found it a problem. I still love the bike And now i am back home i have to do a bit of comuting to get to the next trail and i am very inpresed with its effency even up hills and i run a 9 speed with a road casset. I also mentioned before about a pivot coming lose all the time i put some lock tight on it and now it is fine

Strengths: The geo is great for my styel of ridding which is more to wards dh than anything alse. Low bb, slack HA, short CS, light, VPP suspension system is great.
Weaknesses: I noticed the rear triangl had a lot of flex when i was checking the pivots but i do not notice it when i am ridding the bike and the intenses dealer said this was normal i have also seen other riders with the same bike a checked there bikes as well and they all did it. One of the pivots comes lose every ride but that can be fixed with some lock tight. Also some peopel have been snapping the mount at the back of the shock but they were fat as and this bike was not designed for a bigger rider.
Bottom Line:
I have only had this bike for 3 weeks as it replaced my destroyed reign xo but those 3 weeks have been in whistler and i ahve been ridding it nearly every day so thet has got to count for about 6 monts of ridding back home in australia. I menchened a lot of weaknesses but they are nothing to worry about i weigh 60 kg so i am not going to brake the linkegae i will get some lock tight for the pivot that comes lose and i dont even notice the flex in the rear triangel. This bike replaced my reign xo and i love it corners great takes the fast choppy fire roads with ease i can even pedal down them, jumps really really well it inspiers cofedence in the air, sprints out of the corners. I ride with hard core dh boys who have real dh bikes and i keep up fine. Bottom line this bike is sick would have cost me twice as much at home is light (16.9kg) if you have the cash buy one you will not regret it. I give it 5 chillis for performace as well.

Strengths: Feels solid, flickable, loves to jump. Soaks up the rock gardens and rough stuff. Looks great, well balanced. Relatively light, very strong. Multi-purpose - Will work well on Dh courses, 4X tracks, jumps, drops & gaps and yet still has a decent all-mountain edge if need be.
Awesomely good fun to ride.
Weaknesses: Decals on downtube do come off quickly. Lower VP link has taken a few dings. Low BB means 170/165 cranks are crucial, and still hit the odd thing. Drop-out bolts dry and creaking in first few weeks. Bit of pedal feed-back when on granny ring, feels odd.
Bottom Line:
This bike has a few issues, but these really are tiny in comparison with the benefits.
This bike really is brilliant, but its hard to quantify that in writing, unlike problems which are easy to list.
It rides brilliantly and is very VERY confidence inspiring. It makes rock gardens seem flat, constantly wants to take flight and feels greta when it does.
Its low BB might mean being careful in the techy stuff, but it feels awesome in the berms. The geo is spot-on with the Totems, but is ever so slightly more DH than AM, and a 36 would push it the other way.
I wanted a FR bike that would do me proud on trail riding which is my main discpline, but would be good for Uplift DH days and also pinning the local 4X track.
I wanted good singletrack ability, good pedal-ability for AM use, and getting up the odd hill. And i wanted it to JUMP!!!
This bike NAILS that! I don't regret my decision one tiny bit, and its a joy to own and ride.
its pricey sure, but man doe sit look good and ride well.
If you have the money, buy with confidence, but make sure the LBS you bought it from checks the pivot bolts and drop-out bolts for grease etc, as mine were dry. Intense have been good helping with this and apologised (Pecusick on the Intense forum here) and the problem at the factory has been rectified!!
Just a perfect bike for a all-in-one mix of DH/FR/Jumps/Trails/4x!!!

Strengths: Build like a tank yet light, flickable, corners on rails and is insane of the descents

Bottom Line:
I have this built fairly heavy and it's only about 35 lbs, its perfect for tight technical DH tracks and rides everything else with ease. Took me a while to get the bike setup right, but she is now perfect...can't wait to get her backup to Fort Bill again next week ! :-)
Strengths: Good standover, slack HA, respectable frame weight, low bb. Corners great, loves to be pointed down, jumps well and handles super quick, uzzi style dropouts.
Weaknesses: Shipped w/ 400 lb spring (too light), one pivot bolt loosening occasionally, frame shipped w/ minor scratches, decals on bottom of downtube don't last more than a couple of rides because of location.
Bottom Line:
After giving the bike a good 20 or so rides I have yet to notice the pedal feedback that so many people complain about...its really not an issue. The bike is expensive...no question about that but the value is high. If you're looking for an all mtn rig built on the burley side this is an extremely good way to go. Likewise if you like to ride stunts and / or technical steeps but don't want to push a dh bike around this is a great option. Just make sure you get the right spring. Also, if you plan on running this bike on the more all mtn side, make sure to run a reducer HS to drop the front end as the 66.5 HA is pretty slack if you pedal up.

Strengths: Geometry is awesome and very confidence inspiring. Perfect for steep downhill trails. Rearward wheelpath very nice on high speed choppy sections.
Weaknesses: Strong pedal kickback on square edge hits, suspension firming up when using brakes, and seat angle is too steep for trail riding as it pushes your weight too far forward.
Bottom Line:
If you are accustomed to VPP then you will most likely not notice the negative traits I mentioned. It truly is a very stable, almost, mini-DH bike. Buy it if you rip at full speed hardly touching your brakes.

Strengths: MADE IN THE USA!!! How do these other companies pay their workers .50 cents an hour in Taiwan, and still want big money for their bikes??? Can you say 1000% profit?

Bottom Line:
I've often heard the word "plush" used to describe a suspension, but really never understood what they meant. My 2008 Enduro Comp felt nice...but more in a "broom stick" kind of way. My 6.6 ss is my first Virtual Pivot bike and I'm impressed! Needless to say....I now know what plush means! I rode this bike in an "all mountain" fashion the other day for about 2.5 hours and love it. My bike comes in at 36lbs,but she feels a lot lighter on her feet than her weight shows. The VPP soaks up anything you can throw at it,thus sparing your body the abuse, and the geometry makes for an excellent handling bike. This bike is an awesome ALL MOUNTAIN rig. I run mine with a double chainring and a bash guard and was flat out amazed how fast this bike accelerates! She charges like a 4x rig! The bike is also a real looker in her naked "works" finish.
She was a bit pricey....I don't believe any bicycle should cost 152.00 per pound....but on the other hand...try to make one yourself! The only justifying attribute of the price is the fact that she is hand-made in the USA, and that's good enough for me. I'll give her 4 chil's on the value and a 5 on the overall. This bike will impress you.

Strengths: I don't know where to start, everything about this bike is a strength. My build up is pretty light, coming in at around 36 pounds. I could easily drop some weight with a Ti spring and some new cranks. The Frame is built like a rock. Rips through everything, loose rock, tight berms, anything you throw at it. I feel like I'm cheating while riding this bike with the VPP Suspension.
Weaknesses: No Weaknesses, Intense knows how to build a bike.
Bottom Line:
If you have the funds, buy this bike or any other Intense bikes. Its amazing. Don't buy the bikes made in Asia, buy Intense made here in the USA.

Bottom Line:
I first purchased the UZZI VPX then got the Intense 6.6 to get a more responsive and lighter feel and finally the Slope Style. Not too heavy but built like a tank. Geometry is flexible for Jumping, Freeride, Downhill and even cross country. This is a bike that is a blast no matter where you are..
