2:1 4X – 4X / Dual Slalom
The 2:1 4X is equipped with Foes’ new Curnutt AIR 2:1 suspension, giving the frame a perfect 4” of rear wheel travel. Superb for racing 4X, DS, or your local dirt jumps, the 2:1 4x frame includes heavy duty gussets at the head tube and a one-piece monocoque top tube with built-in contours to arrest torsional twist and yaw. With the 2:1 Curnutt AIR shock and its adjustable rod end, you’ll be able to change the head angle by +/- 1° and raise or lower the bottom bracket height for an advantage when the courses change during the summer race series. Lighter weight, the 2:1 4X AIR has all the qualities to win. Ride a Foes and you’ll be riding the frames everyone knows as ‘the Champions’ Choice’ – hand-built and tested in the good ‘ol U.S.A.

Strengths:
super stiff frame will last forever, killer curnutt air shock is plush on big hits, especially for a short travel frame, four inches of travel never felt so good, i have taken this bike off of an 8 foot+ drop with a nice tranny and didnt feel any impact, i love this bike, it is the perfect all-around bike for the aggressive all-mountain rider, not just a 4x or dirt jumper, this bike is a great trail bike if you are coming off a dh bike but want something a lot lighter but with a similar laid-back geometry and strength, the curnutt air is very responsive to changes in air pressure, rebound and platform making the bike very versital, and the hydroformed top tube looks like a friggin moto gas tank, very cool
Weaknesses:
none whatsoever, if you are even thinking of buying a custom frame you know that you get what you pay for so the price is not an option, foes frames are the ultimate in bicycle technology and they are made in the u.s., go red, white and blue!

Bottom Line:
nice choice for the aggressive all-mountain rider who wants a quick, responsive bike that rails bermed corners, floats over jumps, and pedals like a dream, i race dh on an '05 mono and i love it but when im out freeriding on the local trails or riding the lifts at plattekill or diablo i take the 4x because it feels so good to whip around and hammer out of corners, it handles nasty rock gardens great as long as i keep the speed down compared to the mono which has almost 3 times the rear wheel travel, this bike is so much fun to ride, thanks brent foes!
