Strengths:    For $4800.00 it is one of the best downhill bikes on the market. It works great on the trails as well and climbs like a champ, especially if you upgrade to lock on the fly. The fact that it sits up higher than some of the competition makes it a breeze when going over rocks and other obstacles.

Weaknesses:    None so far!

Bottom Line:
Best bike for its what it was intended for!

Strengths:    Solid, looks, versatile , 1.5 head tube, rear thru axle

Weaknesses:    None

Bottom Line:
I purchased one second hand in quite poor condition, I like projects that involve making good bikes better, there was play in the bearings / bushes and scratches all over , also the forks where goosed , the previous owner had somehow manage to twist the fork legs so one was longer than the other, as I said the bike had had a tough life , but after weeks of tinkering and upgrades and a splash of brown touch up( not a shade easily available) ,the bike looks awesome and rides like nothing I've ever ridden , I love cannondale I've had 3 prophets ans a Gemini but this is in another league, I have fox 36 vans which are 160mm that suit the bike if want to do a bit of everything. , also gotta love ti springs got one from eBay its looks the shizzle and makes the van r shock ride a lot better , xo bits ,Easton havoc bars in Gunmetal, d2 stem complete an awesome bike

Strengths:    you can pedal uphill like a cross country bike..
you can go down like a rocket

Weaknesses:    I think that is difficult find a weak point

Bottom Line:
Ihave pedal the perp2 '08 for 30 km in one cross country trail and I think "WOW!! I have 18kilo's bike and I go up..
its incredible!!" but when I put down the seat post for go down... I find the real pleasure ... this bike is great, the rear shock link work in the uphill like in the down hill is always soft, the rock is not a problem like a drop
