Date Reviewed: October 25, 2008
Favorite Trail:rock city
Duration Product Used:3 months
Purchased At:wenting's cycle and
Strengths:The frame quality is great, the geometry is spot on for trail riding and slopestyle, and the component mix is great for the price
Weaknesses:I had a wierd problem with the stock rear shock where it would bottom out and stick down because the air had switched chambers from positive to negative. I upgraded to a roco tst air and now its having problems holding air... great. Also, I noticed the head angle could be a bit too steep on some terrain. It takes some getting used to.
Similar Products Used:norco 4by, norco fuse
Bike Setup:completely modded. marz 55ata, roco tst air, mavic 729's on dt 440, holzfellers, xo shifter/derailler, juicy 7's, minions
Bottom Line:I basically built the frame up, but what really matters is the fact that this bike rode great out of the box. No weak links in the component mix. It was bombproof, balanced, and reasonably light for a slopestyle freeride rig. With my new component group (including a full length seat post) I climb and descend any slope on my derelict. It's really not that bulky.
