Strengths:
it is a very versatile frame.
the suspension is 2nd to none.
frame is strong and confidence inspiring
accelerates and pedals extremely well
corners and rails through rock gardens.
very good at dirt jumps as well.

i think it could use an updated 1.5 head tube. to accept newer forks.

Bike Setup:
astrix huckster frame, hope hub/salsa gordo rim combo, fox 36 van, rock shox vivid 5.1, race face cranks and stem, hope brakes, straight line pedals. full suspension single speed(paul single speed chain tensioner).
Bottom Line:
This bike is a very nice bike. every time I try and ride other bikes, I feel there is no bike better than this bike I own. it just does almost everything well from cross country to dh/fr. even some of my friends are willing to trade their bike for mine. This frame is strong enough to last you for a year or two of constant daily abuse. This bike is also very easy to do tricks on while in the air. The frame was worth every penny I spent- one of the best decision I do not regret at all.
PS: it also pedals like a cross country bike.

Strengths:
Strong, progressive suspension, fully active suspension, have not seen another in brisbane, great looking, pedals/sprints well, feels light and agile
Weaknesses:
none so far - just take the time to tweak the suspension to suit

Bottom Line:
Only been into dh for a couple of years. started off on a second hand 05 stinky. the huckster is miles ahead in rear suspension action and allows much more control. she is (relatively) light for a dh bike and pedals quite well on the inevitable bits on most dh tracks. this bike has taken my confidence to a new level.

Strengths:
Progressive suspension, zero lateral flex. Bottomless feel. geometry. Peddle efficieny Um.. I am sure of ther are other things, but I need to ride.
This is by far one of the best freeride bikes I have ever ridden. I swear it would take an act of god to bottom this frame. Bottom line, if you want a strong bike that can take anything you can dish out, buy this bike.

Strengths:
This bike it built to ride. the Moto-link suspension system is great for pivot points. It may feel heavy but when in the air this bike rides like a dirt jumper.
Weaknesses:
It is a bit heavy but with the right fork it can make it ride like a 25LB bike.

astrix huckster, manitou 4 way swinger, manitou travis tripple 203, sram X-9, hayes mags, S-type rims.
Bottom Line:
This bike is awsome. by the way it rides and looks it feels like the astrix version of the VP Free and in my books i would chose this bike over any bike accept the norco team DH (bike of the gods)...

great bike the first ten minutes i was on it i hucked it 6 feet and was hooked from there on
Weaknesses:
when i purchased the frame it was missing a bolt the shock is not easy to change since you have to take apart more then one linkage
this is a great frame and astrix customer service is awesome the fame feels like it ways nothing when you are pedaling and the 8 inches of rear travel just makes me wont to fligh of of anything great frame if you look hard enough you might find a deal like mine or if not just spend the money and buy this frame

built like a tank!!!! can do anything on it from race to huck. it peddles great inspires me to push myself because I know that the frame can take it.
