Mines is a 29er, pearl white with red lettering. Best bike ive ever ridden, and ive ridden many. almost telepathic handling in tight singletrack, responsive, smooth. Im 245 lbs w/o gear and cant detect any flex yet its soooooo smooth over rough terrain. Turns on a dime, yet stable at high speed's. I carve carve up tight woods singletrack like a ginsu on this bike. Ted is every bit as cool as his bike's. A great guy with a great product. I cant reommend him enough.

Wow, this is the ultimate xcountry machine. It weighs 21 pounds, and its STEEL. The pain job is killer, and i get at least 4 or 5 compliments on it every time i ride down to my lbs. Even the local guy here who builds his own steel frames was so impressed with the bike he asked me if id let him test it out. He came back almost drooling over the buttery soft ride and the barely visible welds. I dont think ill ever ride another bike ever again. My only regrett is that you cant buy this beautiful frame any more because apparently Ted went out of business. THIS FRAME RULES. If you are lucky enough to find one on ebay, email the seller and find out what it will take for them to end the auction early. Whatever you pay for it, it is worth it.

Supreme welds that cannot be touched by anyone else in the business. Killer paint jobs.

It took me 6 months from start to me riding this frame. That's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long!
I love my frame, I wouldn't have it any other way. Ted really knows what he's doing when building a frame. If he could get his business back together he would be the ultimate frame builder. What in the world would take him 6 months to get this frame to me? I don't know. I wish he would have kept closer contact during the building phase. I think I am the last person to have a frame built by Ted Wojcik. This is a sad thought, the world will never be the same without his fine craftsmanship. His website has dissapeared and I think he closed the doors to his shop. I wish it wasn't true, but until I hear or see any signs of life from the man I'm sorry to say, goodbye.
Now, the frame rides like a dream. The disc brake tabs are noteworthy as well as are the Ritchey dropout. He even surprised me by writing my name on it for me, how wonderful? The paint job is awesome and is really thick. Thanks Ted.

Ted is not only an artist, he understands how to make a high-performance steel frame. Granted, his frames are oriented for East Coast riding, with logs (high BB) and sharp turns (shorter chainstays). Despite the fact that it's steel, he uses oversize tubes, for a very lightweight but super strong frame. I'm always amazing at how quick my Wojcik is and how it really feels like an extension of my body when i ride.
But his website is gone! Where is he?

its a real nice ride. I bought it a little over 8 years ago and it still hangs tuff. I do not feel the need to buy a new bike yet. I think it will still meet my standards for a long time to come. So when I look back when I spent more on this bike then I did on my car I have to say it was money well spent because this bike still rides better than any new bike I've ridden. So if your in the market to get a custom built frame I would say it is a big investment but if you like to ride a lot then it is money well spent.

This bike is very smooth. I was thinking about getting into racing a bit more and wanted a quick and responsive hard tail. Ted's frame does not disappoint. It is light, comfortable and climbs like a goat. It was nice to have the choice of a short frame and not just "one size fits most". Ted will paint your bike any color you want (I highly recommend painting the fork to match too). The metallic purple paint job on mine is dope. Ted did not paint my bike the color I asked him to, he painted it the color I wanted it to be. When you see a Ted Wojcik among other bikes it definitely stands out. I get so many questions and comments about my Ted from admirers that it is like instant celebrity status. I wanted to build the custom bike of my dreams and starting with a Ted Wojcik frame was the right choice. Thanks Ted.

Wow, this is a good bike. You will notice this frame is unlike any others right out of the box. Ted crafts his frames like a UFO (seamless welds). The finish is lush as if painted by a renaissance master. It is hand made in America by someone who cares. The frame is stiff at the bottom bracket yet supple over minor bumps. I have noticed that I am unconscious of the frame itself. Most of the time it feels like it is not even there. I love my bike. The only draw back to owning a Ted Wojcik is that I am now angry with myself for not getting one sooner. I feel like I have missed years of better riding. If you really like to ride and can appreciate fine things, you owe it to yourself to check into getting a Ted. In a perfect world, everyone would ride a Wojcik. Maximum chilis on both counts.

The bike is a joy to ride in tight, twisty single trac. The steel frame is compliant enought to take the edge off all but very worst bumps. I have brought it to Colorado for the Leadville 100 and found that the bike makes the extended climbs almost enjoyable. Teds welding is arguably the best in the industry and his attention to detail make this a great choice for a serious cross country rider that wants a quick, fast handling bike. If you are considering buying a Ted, You should go to his shop and talk to him and get fitted. Its worth the trip.

Ted is a master. I didn't think he could match the road bike he built for me in 1998, but the hard tail is THE BEST bike I have ever owned. The fit is perfect. It's light and nimble and climbs like a mountain goat. If you're looking for a new custom or semi-custom frame, you owe yourself a look at a TED!
