Strengths: great value for money, im 15 with reasonable skills i can chuck the bike at anything im willing to try, downhill, uphill, jumps, dropoffs it handles the abuse i put it through which is good as i am only 15 and on a limited income and i cant afford to be replacing parts every month
Weaknesses: not so good fork, i liked i at first as i was inexperienced and hadnt ridden a full suspension bike b4, but i now have marzocchi bober z1's (older model) and its sweet as for me now
Bottom Line:
great value for money especially for beginners to intermediate riders who ride anything and enjoy the occasioanl beginner dh race :-) and also good for ppl who want their bike to last
Strengths: Sweet deal for a FSR! I got mine for $500. The frame is a great start for a full-suspension and it gives you good platform to upgrade. Spend a couple bills on some upgrades and you got a super fun ride at a smokin price. I've upgraded the fork to a Marzocchi Z4 Bomber(huge difference!), the bars to the Azonic PDW risers,stem to the Race Face System and some Michelin Wildgrippers for traction. Next planned upgrades are to XT front/rear derailleurs and some Race Face Rings. Just waiting for the right internet deals to show up...
Weaknesses: Spyder fork is super weak. Sell that to a neighborhood kid and buy a Marzocchi.
Bottom Line:
If you can grab this bike for under $600, go for it! Spend another $400 on upgrades, start with the fork, and you got a $1,000 bike that is as good, if not better, than bikes costing 2 Gs. I've been beating the crud out of it for the past six months and its worked sweet. Its a good climber and a blast on the downhills. ENJOY.
Bike Setup: Marzocchi Z4 Bomber(huge difference!), Azonic PDW risers,Race Face System stem, Michelin Wildgrippers, Shimano 323s, Salsa Skewers and Specialized Body Geometry saddle to save the goods.

Strengths: FSR Sport answered my demand for an awesome ride at a bum like me can afford price.
Weaknesses: Shamely average components but works together nicely. The weight, the weight. I only notice the heftyness picking it up not on the trails. Upgrade you will enjoy it more.
Bottom Line:
This bike rocks downhill. If your looking for a hillclimber it could do that to. Take small hits, medium hits, Big hits, but think about it first before you take mucho air. If you got the mind for some air it will give you the control. About the landing thats another story (shock upgrade.) The bike is just fun as hell to ride. Late
