Date Reviewed: May 20, 2004
Duration Product Used:3 months
Purchased At:Soulcraft
Strengths:It doesn't get any more custom than this!
Weaknesses:None
Similar Products Used:Gary Fisher Advance
Bottom Line:I'm just shy of 5' tall, and even the smallest off-the-rack bikes were like riding an elephant to me. Soulcraft worked hard and dug up a curved top tube for me, so now I actually have clearance! This bike is so light, so fast, and simply amazing. The questionnaire you fill out before your bike is built ensures that you get a bike that is ideal for you, regardless of your size, ability, or riding habits. I highly recommend Soulcraft to anyone.

Date Reviewed: August 10, 2001
Favorite Trail:Quemazon Trail
Duration Product Used:6 months
Purchased At:Soulcraft
Strengths:Love the narrow tubing. Soft ride. Nice sparkly white powdercoat.
Weaknesses:Nothing.
Similar Products Used:Diamondback, Klein, Bontrager
Bike Setup:XT/XTR, FSA, Spinergy, Easton, Thompson, Mars
Bottom Line:This bike is very smooth through the gravel, up and down rocks, over trails and down dirt roads. I've never enjoyed mountain biking so much. It sneaks through the gnarliest of trails with competence and ease, and gets me going faster than I know how to handle sometimes! In getting the frame, Matt at Soulcraft was very nice and helpful. The Title Nine has a nice short top tube for women. I recommend Soulcraft to anyone who wants to rediscover steel and wants a very comfortable ride. Thanks Soulcraft!

Submitted by Jeanne Slomanson a Cross Country Rider from Anaheim, CA, USA
Date Reviewed: June 3, 2001
Favorite Trail:Flume Trail
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $1000.00
Purchased At:Jax Bicycles, Irvine CA
Strengths:Beautiful craftmanship. Soft ride. Over the top, responsive steering. Super fast on single track.
Weaknesses:Sticker scratched already, but this is probably user error.
Similar Products Used:Litespeed Obed. Landshark.
Bike Setup:Manitou Mars, King Headset, Mavic Wheelset, XTR and XT.
Bottom Line:The bottom line is this: I never dreamed that I would love this ride as much as I do. I could pretty much close my eyes and this bike would know where to go. I always used a suspension seatpost in my hardtails, but with this bike it is so responsive and such a soft feel that I don't feel the need for one anylonger. Working with Matt and Sean of Soulcraft was a great experience. They really care and love what they are doing and it shows in their frame. I can't say enough of about how happy I am with this frame. Girls if you want a steel frame that doesn't beat you up this is the ticket. Try it you'll like it! The only way for girls to fly.
