Weaknesses: try riding this up a hill, what is this recall crap I hear
Bottom Line:
This bike is great, fast downhill, light enough to ride uphill, great bike to "pimp" out. Very sure footed at High speed, great drops and good design. I got it for cheap

Strengths: It's a pretty good bike...when it came out
Weaknesses: If you are thinking of buying one used...DON'T The seattube is defective. It will slowly bend. You can send the frame back to rocky and they'll give u a pipeline. Shame. A small fault ruins a great design.
Bottom Line:
The bike was cool for a year. Now everone is runnin around with a busted seattube. That's why rocky came out with the trustlink design (Rm9/6). So mdo yourself a favor and don't buy the bike....unless u want a brand-new pipeline! 4 chillies= value: $2300CDN not to shabby 3 chillies= Overall: Damn that tube!!!!!!

Strengths: plush/stable ride d/t long wheel base. value for the money.
Weaknesses: weak pivots, bottom in particular comes loose until you freeze it with locktight. seat tube will bend with continued drops of anything over 6"
Bottom Line:
great bike for the value even with odd broken linkage pivot. if you can buy one go for it because it should be cheap. ride it hard until it brakes and rocky will warranty it for a pipeline or ?rm6(i am currently working on this deal). overall i have had a hell of alot of fun riding the dhrace

Strengths: Strong, corners well, geometry is awesome, strong gusset for full-on DH forks, good travel, very stable at speed.
Weaknesses: Could use another inch of travel, soft alloy bolts round out easy, high speed stability(long wheelbase) sacrifices tight handling.
Bottom Line:
My frame is the DH race, but as the DH race is the same exact frame minus the external resevior shock(like the FOX RC) as the DH T.O this will have to suffice untill francis makes a review for the DH race.
I've been riding this bike for about a year now, and I still love it. There is no side to side play in the pivots/bushings, so that is good. The pivot bolts on the upper part of the seat stay, and on the lower pivot on the linkage got rounded the first time I tried to put them back in place, the alloy they used for them is ultra soft. After sending them an email they sent me about 8 new pivot bolts and some lock tight, that was really cool and it was great customer support. They have also been very quick to answer any technical questions that I have asked them, which you definatly can not say for other manufactures. The handling of the bike is awesome, it handles dropoffs and steep rocky decents with easy, and the stretched out wheelbase makes it easy to recover if you loose traction. It is a double edged sword of course, on really tight turns I have to scrub more speed to get around them with this bike, it is possible to set it on edge and rail it, but you have to set up to do that before the turn and it takes some practice. On my bike(18") the wheelbase is about 46" and the chainstays are 18". This is of course why it is so stable, it doesnt like to get knocked off a line either once it is on it. I love riding this bike everywhere, downhill, and on regular trails.
As far as sheer DH ability I think this bike is still a great bike, and can be competitive with a lot of todays machines. The wheelbase of this bike can really get it through some impressive dropoffs and rocky sections. It may lack a couple of inches of suspension compared to some DH machines these days, but it has a couple inches on em on its wheelbase. There was also an upgrade to get more travel out of it, however Rocky has told me that they are all out of the upgrade now, as it required new linkage, chain and seat stays.
4 chilis for a good value(i paid $950 for the frame) and 4 chilis for the overall rating( i dont believe too many bikes should get the 5 out of 5 rating)

Bottom Line:
I went from a specialized full suspention bike to a rocky mountain DH.and it's a huge differance. Before when I went down a hill I would eat shit every time. I thought i sucked hard until I bought this bike. I can go around corners like I'm on rails. The harder and more beat up a corse is the better the bike handles.The rear end with 6 inches o plush travel is the bomb.With a better fork up front you can compete at any level.If you want a bike that can compete and don't have the $5000 to spend on a bike this is the one for you.Look at me I went from never winning a race in beginner class to winning in sports in just a few races.

Bottom Line:
This frame is considerably light and very strong. It's made in Canada. The frame material is Easton HBO Elite dh Aluminum. The shock that comes with it is a Fox Vanilla twin clicker. The paint job kicks ass! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Pretty far out looking. Did some math and that thing would be fast!!!
