from NY Date Reviewed: February 24, 1998 | | Bottom Line: | I bought my PSYCHO as a complete bike after reading tests in BIKE and MTB from a couple of years ago. It all started out as a call to PSYCHO where I received a product brochure in the mail. From there it was a couple of weeks talking to Matt (can you believe actually talking to the people that build your bike!) over the phone about packages and paint. I ended up deciding on an XTR/White ind. motif with a Samuel Adams paint job. I received my bike about 6 weeks later and what a dream of a ride!!! It came in just over 22 lbs with a Manitou SX. This bike rocks! I climbed hills that were previously impossible and on a 10th mountain division hut-to-hut ride the low weight definately was in my favor. As far as customer service goes,,, I broke my deraileur hanger when I picked up a stick while JRA. I sent it back to PSYCHO and the fixed it for free and had my bike back to me in under two weeks (NY to CA shipping). So if you want a great frame at a bargain with a no s@$t lifetime warranty then give these guys a shot. 5 chili's for the frame and the service.
