Strengths: Very lightweight, beautiful colour combination, smooth riding and responsive. Whisper silent too.
Only weigh 150 gramms more than the REX PRO and a lot cheaper.Weaknesses: Ultegra STI levers action can be inconsistent when shifting through gears but that's not Principia's fault! I choose Shimano. Still not cheap but you get what you pay for.Bottom Line: Now I've got the position 99% there the bike is far more comfortable then the harder riding Cannondale, but just as ridgid. The handling feels good to me too. Makes me want to go out and ride it every day. Has pride of place in the hall way when not in use. When I picked it up total strangers where coming up to me and asking about it, so you could say it looks as good as it goes. Always a good combination.
I think it's closest competitor is the CAAD 4 Cannondale which I haven't tried, but I prefered the idea of a smaller company because of the closer attention to deal and the more exclusive touch. This company doesn't spend lavish amounts of money on advertising, the products do the talking.
Also one of the most durable frames money can buy according to the TOUR test (EFPB Germany) which is the most stringent test of bike frames I'm aware of, so there's peace of mind too!
I was going to pay less and get a Giant but don't regret it one bit.

Strengths: Frameset is very light at 1275g. Very responsive and lightning fast.Weaknesses: If you tap the frame with your fingers, the sound produce sounds cheap and thin but so far no problem at all.Bottom Line: The price paid for the frame alone can buy well known Italy road frame like Bianchi, Coppi and Raleigh etc. The frame is good for begineers and pro racers entering races.
