Favorite Trail:Adrenaline
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $100.00
Purchased At:Le maillot jaune( athe guy who works there sold it to me)
Strengths:The Only good thing that bike really is the low (65 degrees head angle)
EVERYTHING ELSE is PURE dung
FROM THE BEGINNING TO END >>THIS BIKE IS A PIECE OF FAT ALUMINIUM BEGGING TO BE CUT APART AND DISPOSED TO THE NEAREST DUMP
MAN I DID THE WORST ERROR IN MY LIFE TRYING THIS PIECE OF brown fecces
ITS beyong lame
For that loser that knows nuthin about biking...this frame is not made for downhill ....I can clearly see that downhill means a different thing to u....
Anyways EVERYTHING is lame ON THIS FRAME...the PRIMITIVE RISSE PIECE OlD junk SHOCK can't barely work...it does't work at all
Norco says it has 4 inches of travel
I say it has half on an inch of travel
Primitiive linkage I can't believe it..there are actually uninformed people who thinks that this frame a so called perfect free ride bike....hahahah]wait till i smoke ur sorry ass with a hardtail
Weaknesses:THE BIKE IS A WEAKNESS ITSELF
EVERYTHING
bushings on the links
the shock
rip off
Similar Products Used:NEVER tried a bike that lame like this one in the past

Favorite Trail:MINE
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:OK ALL OF YOU GUYS MUST BE ON CRACK IF YOU THINK THAT THIS BIKE IS WORTH ANYTHING AT ALL. IT'S A TOTAL PIECE OF SH.... THE REAR HARDLY MOVES CAUSE OF THE PRIMITIVE SHOCK $ LACK OF LINKAGE. I RODE THIS BIKE A LOT CAUSE 2 BUDDIES GOT SUCKERED INTO GETTING THEM AND I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND IT AT ALL. BUY A SUSP SEATPOST INSTEAD. I HAD A 98 KHS FXT TEAM AND THIS BIKE SPANKED THE BONER IN EVERY WAY (ESPECIALLY SINCE IT ACTUALLY HAD SOME SORT OF SUSPENSION MOVEMENT GOIN ON). SORRY TO MESS UP THE RATING GUYS BUT THIS IS MY OPINION. OH YEAH IT HAS NO STRENGTHS EXCEPT MAYBE FOR CLIMBING SOMEWHAT LIKE A HARDTAIL.
Weaknesses:FRAME
Similar Products Used:VPS1-2, RM9, .......
Bike Setup:STILL NO GOOD EVEN WITH GOOD PARTS
Bottom Line:DON'T GET SUCKERED INTO GETTING THIS PIECE......

Date Reviewed: December 7, 1999
Duration Product Used:
1 Year
Strengths:
Marzocci Bam Z1 Bomber
...need I say more? This
bike will ride over
anything!!!!!
Weaknesses:
It weights in at about
28 pounds. It has a
Risse Genesis rear
shock.
Similar Products Used:
GT STS-4000
Trek y-frame
Bike Setup:
Norco Bomber with
formula disk brake, XT
and XTR everything, LX
cranks.
Bottom Line:This is an kick a** bike! A panic to ride! It
combines both cross country and downhill in the
perfect FREERIDE mix. Although it is a bit over
weight, if you can get over it's bright orange
paint you will love it. This is by far the most
plush, durable, exciting bike that I have ever
ridden!!!!

Bottom Line:

I think this frameset is one of the best deals out there, it sales for so cheap!! Too bad Norco stopped production, but that means that you can find even cheaper clearouts. It's basically a MacPherson Strut system: light, simple, and it works. My bike is built full Race Face/XTR/XT with a Judy XL, and the bike tips the scale at about 25lbs.
