from Zürich, Switzerland Date Reviewed: June 14, 1998 | | Bottom Line: | This is my first full suspension bike, picked up from Irvine Bike Source (big mistake) and I have it set up with a fox vanilla shock, JudySL/Englund Air front fork, Hope front disc, Avid 2.0 rear brake, Race Face Crankset&BB, Avitar Werx rings, Shim XT der, Thompson seatpost, Control Tech stem, Bontragre Race Lite bar... Anyway, I really love this bike. I was concerned about a bouncy ride but this Boom Shaka feels quite firm on flats and uphills. The frame handles really well in twisty stiff and is great downhill. From what I've seen on other X-country fs frames the Boom Shaka is built super strong - not far from a real dh frame. Other than the need for better quality on the decals (big deal, right?)this is a great frame. I give it five burners. | Overall Rating: |
