Strengths: The frame is completely bullet proof. It is made from US Mil Spec cromoly steel except for the swing link which is a beefy chunk of aluminum. The rear shock is a Fox Vanilla RC. It even comes with a factory chainguard. All this only weighs in at 12 pounds. All bearings are sealed and common sized so parts are available at any bike shop(may have to be ordered through QBP). The travel is fully active and there is absolutely no bucking or brake jacking. It is point and shoot. If your line is a little off, just lift the front end a bit and hang on for the ride! It will take the hit and pull you through. I have never been on a more solid feeling bike.
Weaknesses: Relatively unheard of in the US. I believe I have the only one in the states. The lads from down under have been keeping this a secret!
Bottom Line:
I rode this bike to 3rd place finish at the NORBA finals in Durango last August after not having been on a mountain for a long time(Omaha is flat). The bike makes you better than you are. In the hands of a more capable rider, the possibilities are endless. It is also burly enough for some great urban riding if that is your calling. Call Trevor in New Zealand and get one coming today!! My value rating is high because the bike will last you a long time. The price is right in there with other bikes.

Strengths: Loads of Active travel that wont bottom out(oh yes, these are FULLY active).Minimal pedal induced bob.made to order, that means custom sizing and colours.full service on frames if need be(i only live 20min from factory),small business=great customer service.Stiff frames.sealed bearing pivots
Weaknesses: sorry dude, can't fault this frame!
Bottom Line:
I have no intention of getting another frame until this one is unrideable, they really do kick ass in the downhills(including carrying a few NZ national downhillers to victory many times).Recently released under avanti brand keewee d8(8" travel).kinda like sunn setup i guess, keeps c of g really low=stable.unfortunately only available in New Zealand and Australia.
this frame came to me through AMB, and I have just had it set up with, monster t and 9 speed xtr, it is a chrome main frame, but has an alloy swing arm which gives about 6-6 1/2 inchs travel. I haven ttaken it racin' but works great.
Just want to know if a little bit of sideplay on the pivot where the rocker meets the seatstay (left hand side ) is acceptable or not ? All other pivots are lubed and snug and a Read More »
