Strengths:    Steel (Steel's Real Baby!!)
Very nimble (even with a 130mm fork)
Sick color (i have the 2005 frame in destroyer grey)
Short Top Tube, i like this because im shorter and my old trek was too long in the cockpit and i hated it.

Weaknesses:    everyone makes fun of me for riding steel. They say its old technology. They shut up when we are on the trail though ;)

Bottom Line:
This bike is the shisnet. Everyone should ride steel. It absorbs the trail far better than aluminum frames. Being a hardtail rider you need to be smoother over rough trails, this bike somewhat smoothes the trail so you can go faster than aluminum. i thought by putting a 130mm travel fork on the grometry would be weird but i love it. it made it a bit more stable so its not as twitchey. If you are reading this trying to decide to buy steel, DO IT!!!!

Strengths:    light, flexy, makes me feel cool because the msrp was around 800; does anybody know the actual non-Jenson retail price for this thing?

Weaknesses:    paint chipping! i put a QR on it and all the paint in the seatpost clamp area just flaked right off!

Bottom Line:
i've ridden few frames as comfortable as this. its real flexy and i'm on a 19" so the front pops up super easy, but the geometry is really nice compared to a lot of bikes i've ridden .

Strengths:    light and strong

Weaknesses:    paint is thin skinned

Bottom Line:
Love this bike. I have no need for suspension with Reynolds 853 absorbing all the little bumps. Amazing how light this frame is without being too flexy. The paint is an issue if you like your bike to sparkle. I will probably repaint this frame in a couple of years or at least spot fix the chips. It still looks good, especially the weld joints. I would give it more than 5 chili's for value if I could. You can't beat a 3.9 lb Reynolds 853 frame for only $200. I only gave 4 overall because of the paint and my limited experience with modern frames.

Bottom Line:
This is an update on earlier posting. the fram ehas held up great. Rides like steel should. My only gripe though is due to the short top tube. It is only 23" long center to center (head tube and post). KInd of a drag considering that my Cannondale and Trek's top tubes were a good two inches longer (at least). I can't complain since I knew that the frames borrow their design from the classic breezer. Uphills a serious pain in the arse (trouble keeping front wheel down on steep uphills). I'm ditching the 120mm for a 135mm and continually changing riding style.

Basically if you are used to a longer tube, you may wish to take the shorter top tube into account.

Strengths:    Nice frame, great looks, great welds, Fillet brazing on the head tube and seat tube. black paint is holding up well, light weight(about 3.9 lbs.), reminds me of my old Breezer, love the feel of steel hardtail frames. Disc brake tabs a must.

Weaknesses:    Paint could be better. Wish Interloc made an 18" MTB steel frame (maybe for 2003?)

Bottom Line:
A great frame for the price, not quite the quality of your best steel hardtails but I don't want to pay an extra $1000 for a hardtail frame. The ride quality is excellent thanks to the steel frame and the Breezer design. Aluminum hardtails have a dull/dead feel and a good light weight steel frame feels lively. The Interloc frame is designed for a 80mm suspension fork. Thanks Interloc for designing this MTB bike frame like the Breezers. Looking forward to your 2003 MTB frame.

Strengths:    STEEL!!!
Light for a steel frame...nice tubeset
Lifetime warranty
Beautiful craftmanship.
Breezer drop-outs
Laterally stiff rear end...reinforced disc mount too!
Nice color (red)
269.00 at JensenUSA.com!!!

Weaknesses:    Not a perfect paint job...One V-brake boss painted (heavily...luckily I use disc brakes). Red paint very thin at bottom of bottom bracket shell...can see silver under clearcoat.

Bottom Line:
Beautiful steel frame. Stiff, but really nice ride...it is steel! Complete ride is 24.5 pounds. Not bad for a 21" steel frame with disc brakes! Still need to spend more time in the saddle, but so far, it is great!

Strengths:    Weight; stiff; great climber; great handling; great looks/finish and welds.

Weaknesses:    Little known, availability

Bottom Line:
Great looking and handling MTB. Merry Sales exchanged this frame for my "Breezer" of 3 years due to a cracked head tube. (Shop purchased at went out of biz). Am basically a "Roadie" that uses this MTB for cross training/winter riding. It handles fast/rough descents very well. Actually outclimbs my Breezer which was a surprise due to the D shaped curved chain/seat stays. Very stiff and light. Finish beautiful--almost feel guilty to ride in the dirt.

Tough: cromoloy
Disc brake mount
Sweet looking welds

Bottom Line:
Complete bike weighs 26 lbs. with disc brakes. Great climber. Looks sharp. Handles nicely. Pulls a kid trailer. Great for XC/training rides (i.e. Moab). Has renewed by interest in peddling. A great "second bike" (hardtail) to my Santa Cruz Bullit (35 lb. fullsuspension freeride).
