    Strengths:    Ride

Weaknesses:    Gotta take care of steel

    Bottom Line:
I'm tall (6'2"), so I need a bike with a decent top tube length. I'm a former XC college/NORBA racer, so I need a frame with quick, nimble geometry and excellent climbing ability. I'm 33, so I need a frame that doesn't beat me to death. I'm rapidly becoming a retro-grouch, so I don't want to bother with a dualie, and I don't want any extra weight to lug around. Enter the Ibis Mojo. Ay carumba - I've ridden this bike in Washington and Oregon quite a bit, and a little in West Virginia. It rides like a dream, and is as comfortable and light as a hardtail can be.

Strengths:    I'm actually making a comment to one of the posts below. Ibis a rust bucket? I have a old Ibis SS Axiom with not a hint of rust. I've also had great customer service from Ibis. Great bikes, and at one time a great little company! To bad they are no longer.

    Weaknesses:    Not one!

    Bottom Line:
If you find an Ibis frame that's your size, buy it!

Strengths:    Great handling. Un-paralleled qualities of steel.

Weaknesses:    It's definitely not a full suspension ride...

    Bottom Line:
I stare at this thing every night, just pulling into the garage after work. Tremendous craftmanship. It takes me 10 minutes to get into the house. The Ride: Bottom line is that this is a steel hardtail. It's in a market with only a few other competitors. If you're reading this, chances are you've considered an Independent, Kelly, Soulcraft, etc. I probably got one of the last 50 mojos (with disc brake option) before things caved at Ibis. My experience with them has been nothing short of excellent. I had to wait 5 months for it to be completed, but it was worth it. It's unique, it rides better than my Trek Fuel in most terrain, and unfortunately, you may never be able to get one. If you have the opportunity, grab it. Thanks Ibis for giving me goosebumps everytime I ride. Cheers...

    Strengths:    Great ride
    Good looking
    Strong (I am 200+ lbs)
    Handeling

    Weaknesses:    None

    Bottom Line:
Best bike I have ever owned. I cannot describe how much I love this bike. It does everything well. I even love riding it on pavement!!!.

As an fyi, Ibis is going through a tough time right now. The company was sold to someone who didn't do a good job with the business (that explains the feelings of the person who posted his issued below). However, I have heard, that the original owners (Scot Nichol and John Castallano) are looking to possibly buy the company back. I can only hope that they are successful because every aspect of the company rocked under their leadership.

At the end of the day, Ibis is one of the originals - and in my mind, was one of the greatest mtb companies ever.

Strengths:    good ride, WHILE IT LASTS, so i hear

Weaknesses:    seatpost rusted out in one year RUSTBUCKET!!!

    Bottom Line:
OK it wasn't my bike. My friend bought this bike about a year ago and he has gotten such rotten customer service from Ibis that I thought that I would report it here to warn any other potential customers of this company. The paint on the seatpost completely bubbled up with rust in about one year's time. The company was completely unhelpful and even sent him a rude email to boot when he asked for help with the problem. He sent back the frame and it was almost impossible to even get it back from them. This bike sucks and so does the company, I would think that a small boutique company like this would be more than willing to help it's customors out, especially since these small companys really need to rely on word of mouth to sell bicycles instead of expensive advertising. Well, here's my word: DON'T EVER BUY AN IBIS!!!!! They are RUSTBUCKETS and the customer service is below comment!!

Strengths:    Exremely fluid ride. Handles technical trails with ease and is extremely stable at high speeds. Corners incredibley well do to frame rigidity.

    Weaknesses:    none

    Bottom Line:
A perfect combination of simplistic functioning. Long life in a light steel frame that manuvers, climbs and decends like a gezel. Ideal consumer is an avid long distant cross county rider who seeks great performance in a basic model frame that will last a very long time. Add a suspention seat post and you will have the best of both worlds.

    Strengths:    Ride, Weight

Weaknesses:    It took several months from the time I ordered the frame wntil the time I recieved it.

    Bottom Line:
This is an increadible bike. It has the ride you would expect from a top end steel frame and handles all situations very well. The ride is smooth, it climbs and descends well and is rediculously light for a steel bike. I highly recomend this bike.
