$400.00 | | Strengths: | this is the F2(red, carbon swinger)- strong, could be alot heavier, nice ride, still looks cool now. has caused me zero probs.. | | Weaknesses: | not the lightest(was it meant to be though?), the rod on the shock makes it a potential arse to replace. im thinking of machining something up... | | Bike Setup: | psylos(5in, might take it down for a change)match the rear travel well for general dossing about, discs etc | | Bottom Line: | it was offered way cheap when i got it, bout £300ish, and has proved great value for money. iv been tempted away a couple of times, but the F2 is still going strong! it seems plenty solid enough, and the rear end doesnt seem to flex atall. the only thing that had me looking elsewhere was the weight; what with discs, heavy forks, factory muds etc, it can be a slag to drag up hills. however, it doesnt seem to be any different than any other fully loaded fun machine, and i would only have been looking at something lighter and with far less travel/fun factor. the only near gripe i had was when fitting an RST disc on the rear. i had to space the caliper out from the frame by about 4mm to clear the edge of the rotor. i am now fitting XT discs, so fingers crossed...
an all round fun, comfy freeride/epic gem. it will be possibly be better for me with an air shock to reduce weight, and a U-turn kit to make it more versatile and climb easier | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Was very good value at the price I paid (300 quid for the frame.) | | Weaknesses: | Maybe a bit hefty for XC, couldn't get replacement rear mech hanger for love nor money. I dismantled it to clean it up and some B*****D stole it all from the car port at the house where I live before I got a replacement hanger. It's strong and best works with a 5 in fork, it's a rocket in the air it goes where you put it and if set up right you wont bottom it out alot, works in mud and dust with no problem from the seals. Cheap, lightish, long travel, no flex, looks good, nice handling for me (6 foot, 13 stone). LOCK OUT ON SHOCK FOR UPHILLING! No bob, even when not locked out.

Gets you noticed, I have had so many people at races and on the street taking great interest in my trusty steed - I now lock it up with 3 steel chains to my garage wall!

Can always trust it to land something big, especially with the nice laid back angles. Good customer service, 2 year crash replacement warrantary. The frame with RST HI-5's With speed springs, hope discs, azonic stuff, tioga 2.3's L&M cranks.. DH spec basically... | | Bottom Line: | This frame has been sold quite a lot in the UK. It retails really cheap for what it is. It's got gussets in the right place, is strong, well made and is very light (around 2.5kg). The only weakness is that the shock is mounted with a long arm, so a fox shock or roxshucks won't fit. Amazing value for the money, much better that other multi pivot designs. Single pivot, one big nylon bushing (which can be upgraded to bearings for £15). Buy one, they are strong, they last, or even better get the dh-2 with standard shock size for £650. If anyone in the states has got one i'd like to know how you found it..The shock is good, and has only started leaking after 1 year of hard thrashing.. Warantee replaced it no problems, and set with the right spring you should be ok (500 standard, for me 650 was best)Definately 5 chillis as i haven't broken it..Please somebody else must have this bike??!?
