$200.00 | | Purchased At: | ebay | | Strengths: | srong frame, really good pedaling, smooth linkages, strong headtube gussets. very good entry level dh bike | | Weaknesses: | chips really easily, shock that came with it (DNM) was very rubbish, replaced it with a fox vanilla r, much better! | | Bike Setup: | jnr ts, dmr dv wheels, hayes nines | | Bottom Line: | fantastic buy, by far the best i have ever owned, very pleased | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$200.00 | | Purchased At: | A friend | | Strengths: | Very strong bike and very cheap.Nice head angle. The headtube is reinforced so that it wont break easily. The bike is good looking except for the original color so I painted it green and black. I bought mine for only $200 with a fox rc rear shocks. It eats anything that comes in its way. | | Weaknesses: | Theres a play in the pivot point because of the bushing that had allready worn out. Very heavy | | Bottom Line: | A good bike and a strong one, Cheap but worth the price. If ur a beginner better start with this bike. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$500.00 | | Purchased At: | Ebay | | Strengths: | strong as a nuclear bunker, had a few big offs and it's still going strong! this thing eats up trails and north shore like it's at an all u can eat buffet, plus it's got killer looks( i've had mine resprayed all black) | | Weaknesses: | coming off the big stuff, the cain kept bouncing off,so i fitted a chain device. The shock is a bit iffy and overly touchy (i'm after a romic, fox or manitou). the original colours are kinda radioactive as well, thats why i resprayed mine( it's handy having a profesional car painter as a dad!) | | Bike Setup: | Marzocchi jrT's, Hope M4's, Deore stuff, Truvativ crankset and mrp chain device. | | Bottom Line: | This is the first Dh frame i have owned, and i'm glad i started with this. it is pretty light to pedal up the hills with my puny 14-year-old legs, and great to pedal( and fly!) back down. The only slight concern is the sulky shock which has a tendancy to try and throw you off the bike after a really big jump. All in all this is a great starter rig and will last longer than the rider! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$600.00 | | Strengths: | Good weight, strong welds, great flexibility | | Weaknesses: | top tube as i have nearly broken mine. | | Similar Products Used: | Kona stinky, | | Bike Setup: | Dh2, jnr t's, hayes discs, | | Bottom Line: | THis is a really good strong frame as long as you keep it in good condition. Don't push it to hard or it'll break (trust me i have experiance now) | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$550.00 | | Purchased At: | Merlin Cycles,Lancashire | | Strengths: | BOMBPROOF, ITS HAD SOME MASSIVE STUFF CHUCKED AT IT AND ITS EXCELLENT,EASY TO SERVICE THE BEARINGS.TAKEN IT TO MOST UK COURSES AND IT COPES WELL, FOR MY WEIGHT (168lbs) AND UK COURSES | | Weaknesses: | SHOCKS A BIT ON THE LAME SIDE, SO I CHANGED IT TO A RISSE | | Similar Products Used: | GT LTS & LOBO TOO FIDDLY AND BREAK EASILY | | Bike Setup: | Marzocchi,Hope Disc`s,XT Drivetrain, DMR v12 also DMR Chain devive and a strong AZONIC DH bar and stem. | | Bottom Line: | IF YOU NEVER BOUGHT ONE OF THESE, THEN LOOK OUT FOR THE NEW DH3 AND DONT BE FOOLED BY THE CHEAP PRICE !

$340.00 | | Strengths: | Extremely strong frame (reinforced) plush rear suspension great geometry | | Weaknesses: | heavy as hell but i guess the strength makes up for the weight. not too many rear suspension adjustments. doesnt allow Vanilla RC or other Long-travel rear suspension. | | Similar Products Used: | Element DH frame | | Bike Setup: | XT all round 7" fork XT hydro disks Mavic D321's | | Bottom Line: | this is a great frame for light DH but the frames geometry makes it hard to do cross country/ road riding. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$650.00 | | Purchased At: | White Mountain | | Strengths: | Totally unbreakable beast of a UK downhill/ freeride frame without the waight penalty, handles tight, very tunable, nice, sensitive dampins e.t.c. If your tight for cash and want a strong, quality frame its probebly a choice between this and the Marin B17 (bit more but with fox shock). | | Weaknesses: | There really arn't any, the bikes rock solid, with huge, quality welds. the shock can be a bit dodgy and boucy going slow but arn't you meant to go fast on it anyway and becides what can you expect for that price (it is really very good for what you pay for)? Possibly the UGLY glow-in-the-dark- orange paintjob | | Similar Products Used: | Orange Patriot (REALLY similar ride) Specialised, Kona Stinky. | | Bike Setup: | Unbreakable, freeride bike; D521, Full XT splined, Rock Shox club roost, azonic, tioga. | | Bottom Line: | This frame is a bargin, simple. Get it, chuck the shock (or wait for it to blow) and get a Fox then laugh at the fools who spent a grand or so on a frame cos this can compete with any thing else on UK DH and end up costing you a fair bit less. At the end of the day this is a gem of a frame hiding in a low quality price bracket, why Coyote put this frame out with the poor fast trax shock and not a good one I don't know, they could have charged loads for this. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Scotland Date Reviewed: May 25, 2000 | | Favorite Trail: | Innerleithen | | Duration Product Used: | 3 months | | Strengths: | Very plush stroke, smooth, perfect downhill bike for Great Britain as it only has 5.5 inches of travel. | | Weaknesses: | The only problem was the seatpost which didn't clamp the saddle rails tightly enough. The shock could do with rebound damping. | | Bike Setup: | Stratos MX6 forks, Hope discs, Hope hubs, Sun Mammoths, Azonic, Tioga, Michelin etc. | | Bottom Line: | A very good bike for the money (about £500) or something which is suited idealy to British downhill courses. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

The rear shock is really plush and takes out most of the bumps on a DH track. | | Weaknesses: | None that I can find. | | Similar Products Used: | Gt LTS-2000 It kept on snapping!!! | | Bike Setup: | I use Z1's and the shock which came with the frame as it is very good. My bike is only for Downhilling. | | Bottom Line: | The best DH frame for the money. Super plush and very strong make it ideal for downhilling and a bit of urban riding!!! | Overall Rating: |
