Strengths: nice and strong, handling is sharp, twitchy on the trails which is good for dirt jumps and drops, not too unstable for the big speedy stuff provided you have a long fork
Weaknesses: stickers, paint, finish on both was poor and couldn't get replacement stickers.... had it powdercoated pink...now looks sorted.
Bottom Line:
rides well and big enough for a taller rider, i'm 6'1" and find it difficult to find enough room up front, and this one felt just right, similar feeling to a ms ilse. took most things i threw at it, did well for a budget frame. don't buy if you are too specific in your riding, good for hard hitting allrounders.
Similar Products Used: ms ilse, dmr side kick, planet x jack flash, coyote, and other bikes that have been lying around my shop
Bike Setup: manitou stance blunt 150s, hayes, stx rc gears (i like the old 8spd stuff, saint cranks, e13 chain device, syncros and specialised finishing kit

Strengths: had no strenth it like riding on a plastercene bike
Weaknesses: were do i start it is all weak its made for a certain type of person,a very weak one.
Bottom Line:
or is that the top line. if you ride a club roost your a girly blousy typeyou cant do anything on a club roost. its not even worth nicking. and the girly green color, puke.i through it in the canal i wont be nicking another one of those. planet x rule.
Strengths: the dropouts are nice and big but the rest of the frame is about as appealing as sleeping in my own urine bottom bracket is to low and keeps catchin on stuff a couple of bad landings bends the down tube
Weaknesses: i had a mint green one and i would'nt wish that on my worst enema only good if you are shopping at asda and using stabilisers cos if you fall off your bike is nakerd
Bottom Line:
i would not recomend this to my gran and she is worm food i now have a specialized stump jumper wich is red and bomb proof six feet drop and landed on my down tube on a metal fence IS IT BUST IS IT HECK the kid that says green looks tough is a girl and obviously wears his sisters clothes like i used to until i got a specialized

Strengths: there are no strengths on this frame the paint scratches as soon as you look at it the down tube bent on my frame from landing on a log. the blue color does look nice stickers are not nice
Weaknesses: bottom bracket to low weelbase to short kept on catching me feet on the front tyre and im only a size 9 down tube looks nice and fat like a cannondale but its week one bad landing and the frames no good now had to buy a new one. the mint green frames look realy gay stay away from them unless you like wearing you sisters clothes
Bottom Line:
if you like sitting around doing nothing talking to people about how good you are then get one infact get a green one but if you like to get there and show people how good you are then get a planet x
Similar Products Used: any small frame bike is similar i have a planet x now ive had a couple ov bad landings on it and its still working fine and the paint take a lot of nocks

Strengths: Solid. great tire clearance, should fit up to a 2.8 on a 26" rim. has provisions for disc brake hose on the cable guides. nice routing of cable if you use a sram deraillure. piant looks stealthy, though it's not super tough. turns really quickly, has a nice carvey feel to it. very nimble the seatpost that comes with it seems pretty good, two bolt micro-adjust clamp and very sturdy
Weaknesses: the paint isn't very good, I'd rather a really thick plasticy powder coat. Frame weighs like 6lbs which is a bit heavy, but it's got a bunch of gussets and some big plates and extrusions so the weight is justified. and i don't really feel the weight. seat post is a weird size 31.6mm i think, but it comes with it's own seat post so it's not too big of a deal..good luck finding a new one though! the seat tube is a little weird, it's seems too far forward when your seat is down, but is about right when you're saddle is up for climbing. integrated headset could be a pain if you've got a chris king you want to transfer over, or if you've got the bottom race stuck on your fork from a cheapie headset...how are you suppoed to get those things off?
Bottom Line:
Mine is a Stinger "EVO". Most of these seem reviews seem to be of the earlier frame, or the trials version.
I got this frame to replace my full suspention which gave me so many headaches, and while at times I wish I had the cush in the rear when blasting over chatter, for the most part, the maneuverability and nibblness on technical terrain is worth it.
the geometry doesn't seem so twitchy as some have said, maybe with my frame they have changed their angles. that said, the angles feel spot on, very agressive, this frame likes you to be forward in the cockpit for best results it seems. It would make a fantastic DS or jumping bike, as it's very neutral in the air.
mine came without stickers, and i'm glad, the stickers on this bike are UGLY! do yourself a favour and remove them.
all in all a great frame, and $350 CDN is a hella good price for it
Strengths: This frame is strong as hell!! There r alot of braces and gussets that enhance the rigidity of the frame. Colour stands out (i have a very bright mint green version wot looks sweet). The ride is tight and almost BMX'y, the head tube angle is tight meaning the steering is extremly quick and direct (i wouldent recomend using any sus forks that have less than 3.5' of travel). Good value for money.
Weaknesses: Weighs a ton, but its worth it if you r a hard rider. Vivid colours prehaps a little too vivid.
Bottom Line:
I origionaly got this frame because i was begining to ride trails and jumps that where proving far to much for my old GT, so i looked for a frame that would NOT break. After looking at the frame of the stinger i decided that it was litraly 'bomproof', there is a huge CNC gusset on the chainstays and very large gussets on the head tube and between the seat tube and the seat stays, but is all this a bit 'overkill'? A little yes but the frame is VERY strong, but at the cost of weight. The ride is very tight but there is room for taller riders, the head tube angle is very tight meaning the steering is extremly quick and direct which may not be to everyones taste, but i prefer it to sme bikes that have very slack steering angles and steer like a canoe!
All in all this frame rocks! but it shines when rode hard and expecialy for riding DUEL.

Weaknesses: if i find one i`ll get in touch
Bottom Line:
firstly the bloke who slates the mint green colour.. kiss my ass boy!! if you dont like it dont buy it..some do some dont thats personal its the frame that matters.. hmmmmm and what a sweet frame burly.stiff and no probs so far out of all the bikes i`ve tried i like the stinger best i`m 6`2 and it still feels roomy even with an in-line seatpost and a 50MM stem at the end of the day its up to you lot if you like it then get it.. i cant fault the litle sukka!!

Strengths: Strength (Bomb proof) Massive Gussets
Weaknesses: Rear mach hanger is very week, mine snapped off in the first week i had it and had to replace it with a custom made titanium one that i made in the shed.
Bottom Line:
This is a bloody good frame for street, duel, downhill and basicaly anything extream. it wont let you down and for the price it wont be beaten. if you canm replace the rear mech hanger then youll be laughing coz you will then be left with a indestructable frame that looks the dogs bollocks.

Strengths: Good alrounder, massive gussets.
Weaknesses: Colour the matt black ages realy quickly and looks crap after 3 months. OH yer it bends by the bottem bracket cup so i nakers your bottem bracket as well as having your cranks a 90 dergrees.
Bottom Line:
Peice of crap as it dosent cleanly snap it has to bend so you dont realise untill the cranks dont go round

Strengths: Takes 6 months to break Nice strong head tube
Weaknesses: IT SNAPS COLOURS STICKERS
Bottom Line:
I have had 3 frames since Xmas and they have all snapped at the rear drop out next to the disk mount. The frame is good for jumping as it has great control, but only use it if you don't have discs. And don't buy that minging green colour, its the sort of colour an essex slapper would use.

Strengths: The kick-ass mint green (or ming green)colour, "Made in Taiwan" sticker, just about everything is top quality, apart from...
Weaknesses: The really gay stickers with that stupid wasp thing on, the paint seems to fall off every time I get on it. That's about it, apart from the seat-tube being a queer size.
Bottom Line:
I would reccomend this frame to anyone who's into jumping, bit of DH and DS. It is definitely my favourite frame out of all the frames i have tested, and the colour is the best colour I have ever seen a bike painted in - EVERYBODY notices it, and it goes real nice with orange Z1 Bomber's, which I borrowed off a friend while my Judy's were getting fixed for the hundredth time! Get rid of the Stinger stickers though, coz they're not very nice! It's quite long, so stick a short stem on, I am around 6'1" and still find it too long with me 70mm stem on. A real Bargain at £280, and I managed to find it for £230!
