Bottom Line:
This is the second full suspension Caloi I have owned. The new updated frameset is very similar to the Manitou FS and has grease ports at the major bearing pivots. Quality of craftsmanship is also improved over the past model as is the diet the frame was put on. The frame uses a Cane Creek AD-4 rear shock and so far has not caused any problems and is buttery smooth over the rough stuff. This frame provides a rock solid platform (read: no flex) from which an awesome mountainbike can be built and raced. Unfortunately, Caloi has discontinued this frameset choosing instead to build a bike more along the lines of a Gary Fisher Joshua. That's too bad. The '98 frameset was/is a keeper.
