Strengths:    Interesting design, like the motorcycle master link. Nice paint job (costly read below)

Weaknesses:    I did break the frame's seat tube in two after about 4000 light duty commuter miles with very little MTP action. I've got pics, email me request for photos. After contacting boulder, I was informed that they would not replace the frame, rather they would weld it for free but the repainting would cost extra ($280 for Imron). I would also have to pay for shipping to/from. No thanks, I can have local skilled welders perform that service for free or nearly so and avoid the hassle of shipping. Bye Bye Boulder !!! Customers are a lifetime asset and you have to work to keep customer loyalty.

    Bottom Line:
Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

    1992 Boulder Defiant

Picked this up a bit ago. I'm in the stage where I stare at it and contemplate right now, so there's nothing bolted to it at all yet. Hell, I haven't even taken the time to take proper pictures of it, so these are the ones ganked from the seller. It has been built previously, but it apparently has ... Read More »

    Boulder Defiant

Hello, I recently got an old Boulder Defiant. It came with a Syncros seat post that the previous owner shortened. When I have the seat at my preferred height, the seat post is 2 1/2 inches in the seat tube. The max that the seat post can go in the seat tube is 5 inches. I know the old rule that a ... Need help identifying - Boulder Defiant?

Howdy VRC folks! I recently accumulated a new bike - pretty cool. I'm 99.9% sure that it's some sort of Boulder Cycles bike but I'm not really sure on the vintage or the model. It's got XT w/first gen V brakes and a Judy painted to match. I'm pretty sure most of the Shimano stuff on it is origin ... Read More »
