Strengths: Top of the line accessories, rigid frame, excellent rear shock placement and large wheelbase.
Weaknesses: Could have shaved a little bit weight off, still without ruining the general "dinosaur" feeling of the bike
Bottom Line:
Excellent Downhill/Freeride bike, especially if you enjoy big drop off's and jumps. If you like racing downhill you should definitely go for a lighter bike.
Of course the bike is too heavy for any uphill pedaling or any general cross country riding.

Strengths: Great components and Beefy Frame.
Weaknesses: I haven't had any, but I am changing out the rear hub since my friend had the same one and broke it 4 times. Just a precaution.
Bottom Line:
This is an amazing bike, I got it on sale. Although, where I live its hard to find some good downhill so I end up riding a large construction sights and riding down huge dirt mounds that are vertical drops... Its fun, best bike I have ever ridden, wouldn't choose any other bike over it.

Bike Setup: As of now, 07 stock, soon I will be riding my Boxxer team fork with a Sic direct mount stem, Sun abbah sos dh hubs, dt champion spokes, sun double track rims, and avid juicy 7 brakes
Strengths: The bike is great, buy it if you get the chance. The Session 10 is a tank that can take a beating and come back for more. The bike is awsome and will trigger immediate bike envy from all that set their eyes on it. the componenetry is first rate, as are the suspension, handling, and stopping capabilities.
Weaknesses: Aside from an E-thirteen pully wheel on the bash guard that had to be replaced, the bike has no weaknesses.
Bottom Line:
Unlike many that review a bike after one ride, I have been riding this bike for months now, and have found it to be flawless. The ten inches of rear travel is endless, enabling you to sky off almost any obstacle and float back to earth without recoil or jarring impacts. The handling is super stiff, and tracks perfectly on any chosen line enabling you to negotiate trails and obstacles that will leave riders of other bikes bloodied and bruised.
The bike looks incredible and is made in the USA with great attention to detail. Unlike other bikes that have flimsy light weight linkage systems that crack, and bushings that wear out, the burly Trek suspension system soak up the bumps, doesn't pogo under pedalling, has no lateral flex, and takes the punnishment without breaking or developing play.
Trek definitely hit a home run with this downhill bike. It is ideal whether you are racing or gravity riding, and will leave you with incredible memories of your last ride, and dreaming about your next one.
Similar Products Used: This bike is a downhill machine. It is an insult for MTBR.com to classify it as a free-ride bike. Other similar downhill products are made by Intense, Iron Horse, Cannondale, GT, Turner, etc.
Bike Setup: The Bike came stock with: a Manitou Travis Dual Crown front fork, a Revox rear shock with titanium spring, Bontragger king Earl components, and a Sram X-O shifting system. All the components are high end and work flawlessly.
Strengths: This is a big tough looking bike. Really cool suspension linkage and chain torque eliminator. pretty good components. fun to ride
Weaknesses: my large is 46lbs, maybe not the lightest DH bike. lack of standard adjustments on the travis fork. Not at all to be used for XC riding but this is expected.
Bottom Line:
I ride aggressive XC and sometimes race XC. I wanted a DH bike for fun and thought I was in good enough shape to ride this on most of my XC trails as well as DH runs. This is a great peddler but still not a climbing bike at all.
I have only done a few downhill runs on it so far and it is awesome, I can rail this thing compared to my AM bike. lower CoG makes a huge difference. The weight and robustness of this bike eliminates the fear of crashing. Multiple 1-2ft drops in a row are like nothing at 20mph. Since there is a chain guide on the front it is nice and quiet with no chain slapping all around on bumpy terrain.
I havent figured out how to hop or wheelie very well with the thing yet which are skills i use all the time downhilling with the AM bike. Anyway this is a fun bike.

Strengths: i got the medium, even though its too big for me, (wheel base was about 5 inches longer than my bike, and i could barely touch the ground) although it handled corners better than my bike...
Weaknesses: couldnt think of any, but pedalling uphill at full speed felt a little tyering.
Bottom Line:
best bike ive even rode. felt so stiff. no doubt about it, it increases your confidence.
Strengths: This bike has too many strenths to list. It would take me all day to write them out this bike is soo good.
Weaknesses: NONE
Bottom Line:
This bike is so good. Its got 10 inches of rear travel that makes it so good for the most extreme riding. I ride at whistler and if you have been there then you know that you can find some pretty extreme stuff there and this bike will let you do it all. This is such a great bike that even my buddies wanna trade bikes for the day just to use my trek. I am so happy with what trek has done with there 07 session 10 and i hope that they dont change it too much in the next few years because its perfect how it is!
Bike Setup: Frame: Trek session 10, Fork: Marzocchi 888 SL ATA, Rear Shock: Manitou Revox shock, Brakes: Formula Oro Puro, Cranks: Cannondale Si mountain crankset, Pedals: Crank Brothers Egg Beater 4 Ti. Drivetrain: Sram X.0, Controls: Bontranger Carbon,

Strengths: Travis, king earl,E.13,revox etc and the whole bike is so amazing, super strong, looks very beautiful,10 inches travel, pedals, climbs and sprinting like a Xc bike,
Weaknesses: very Expensive, but for the rest off the bike,it does not have any weaknesses to call
Bottom Line:
this bike is so amazing when you look at it you say wow, this bike is what all DH bikes gotta be.When you sit on the bike you can feel the butter smooth suspension off the revox shock,I run a 300lbs titanuim spring and it's so awesome,I only head used the bike one time and the bike rides like heaven, the suspension is very active from small bumps to the large bumps and drops. The bike corner's very fast and the acceleration is unreal for a dh bike, thanks to the CTE(chain torque elimenator)for excelent pedal acceleration. The bike weigth is around 20kg thanks to all the titanium and carbon parts. The brakes i use are the codes and these brakes are very very powerfull and slows you very quick on steep and technical and fast dh trails.I rode a 400cc dirt bike and the session 10 feels eaven better than the dirt bike, one off the features that is so great about the session 10 is climbing your'e way up the hill and sprinting like a xc/hardtail bike, thanks to the manitou revox shock witch is extremely pedal friendly. If you are looking the ultimate bike in preformence and willing to pay for it,i would serious recommend this bike for you.

Strengths: Super beefy rear end and frame, great balance and handling on the trails but even better on the drops! this rig soaks up big hits and keeps you on the ground on the landings
Weaknesses: If you are just a simple dh rider trying to have fun on basic trails then the bontrager wheelset is for you, but don't think your gonna huck a 30ft and keep going! I'll stick with my atomlabs
Bottom Line:
sick bike for the money and you cant compare this bike with another cuz its the first of its kind! you won't be dissapointed with this rig!
Strengths: everything, very stiff back end, no flex, somewhat light for how big the bike is
Weaknesses: the spring rubs against the shock
Bottom Line:
great bike, if I had 6000 to spend on a bike new i would deff get this beast, it flies downhill and takes drops like its floating, ITS NOT A SINGLE PIVOT it has some weird linkage that is hidden and hard to see, best bike i have ever ridden, i just got an awsome deal

Strengths: Pedals great, Looks sweet, super strong, respectable weight.
Weaknesses: Could be considered expensive but when compared to the competiotn (Demo 9, Foes 2:1, etc) it seems right on or even inexpensive.
Bottom Line:
The first thing you notice when you sit on the bike is the lack of sag and firmness of the bike compared to all other uber long travel bikes. Alot of that has to do with the Ti Sprung Intrinsic rear shock which tends to ride higher in its travel then all the other competetion. As a result of the shock/CTE combo this bike climbs like an XC bike and has amazed everyone whos riden it. Demo one and try cranking it on a hill and you see what i mean. As I bought the bike as a frame and built it up i wont review any of the other components but as the frame is conserned it is one of the fastest DH bikes ever made on the downhills. And is the best pedaling long travel bike you will ever ride with no exception. If you can afford it then i highly recomend it. Its got more hiden features then any other bike and it wil make you giggle on the decents.
Strengths: Amazing because it sprints like a heavy hardtail. Wery wery stiff frame and actually the whole bike is wery stiff!
Weaknesses: None yet
Bottom Line:
This is the best allround bike! i put on it ligther tires and went out for a almost 3 hour cross country ride at full paste and it didint kill me!!! supriced me allot for the 10th time. Its got a wery nice ballance with most of the frame weigth arround the bottom and middle of the bike and on top of that the ligthest DHwheelset on the market gives it a good ballance and speed out of corners. Wheelset is strong, ive been riding in rocky conditions ant had a few high speed crashes on it. Raced it twice and landed a 3rd and a 1st place. I love this rig!!!
Strengths: There is nothing this bike can not do. For a 47lb bike it dose a very good job at climbing hills witch is unexpected from a downhill/freeride bike.
Weaknesses: It is difficult to find a car rack that can hold it (I carry it inside a van but I found that a Saris trunk rack and bike beam that connects to the handlebars and seat post works the best).
Bottom Line:
If money is not an issue this bike is as good as it gets for a bike that performs like a downhill bike with the ability to go anywhere and do anything. I suggest this bike for anyone looking for a very durable and versatile bike.
Bike Setup: Smart design but the King Earl crank is not very good to setup (be careful because the threads to pull the crank off like to strip out and are virtually useless)
Strengths: this bike is all strength, the suspension was great and the ride was perfect
Weaknesses: non
Bottom Line:
if you have got thi much money to spend then i would seriously recomend this bike. guess i am lucky that i'm sponsored by the only shop in my area that sells them. i have used this bike in 2 winter downhill races and come 2nd and 3rd.
