Weaknesses:    none that i have found other than it being a bit heavy, but for its intended purpose there are no weaknesses

Bottom Line:
This is a bike that is perfect for riding or racing DH. It has soo much travel that you can fly down steep, wet, rocky trails with confidence. This was my dream bike and I worked all summer to be able to afford this machine. Best bike I have ever Ridden. The bike comes with all top of the line components so this is the first bike I havent upgraded at all.

Short wb

Weaknesses:    A bit heavy
Pedals ok but not too good

Bottom Line:
Fantastic bike. Nice and short, so it makes it easy to jump, pull up and rail corners easier. 9 inches of travel is a bliss, dhx 5.0 is the best shock ever imo. Has the 150x12 rear hub, another bonus.

ALl round fantastic frame, loving it.

Strengths:    Super well balanced, sharp handling, smooth, bomb proof, and it looks soooo cool

Weaknesses:    Nope, not found any yet. Bit heavy but it's a dh bike what d'ya want?

Bottom Line:
I tried lots of bikes before buying this, (intense, yeti, santa cruz!) and still chose the Norco! It's awesome to ride, inspiring confidence through every berm, jump, drop, rock garden, and stair set. I love this bike! Can't praise it enough. You want to ride dh? Make sure you have look at one of these before you choose anything else. (And no i don't work for Norco!!!)

Strengths:    -Burly strong frame
-good descending geometery
-awesome initial parts list
-4bar horst link

Weaknesses:    -with no sizing options, it's kinda tall (not for 6'4" me)

Bottom Line:
dollar per pimpness it's the best value DH bike you can find right now, Canadian made too! Ive bombed straight down the knarliest trails with no fear, dropped the biggest sets with no fear, even chucked a kick ass stairset in downtown Victoria (bastion square) with no fear... MTB'ing is 9/10th a mental game, this bike takes all that fear right out of ya... it's almost as if it does the riding for you! :P

Strengths:    pretty light love the frame design how the seat is pulled way forward. lots of good parts thrown stock on this bad bay. took out the propedal on the beautiful 9 inches of suspension to make it even more plush.

Weaknesses:    none at all.

Bottom Line:
super good deal. would recommend throwing on some fox 40 just to make your ride even smoother. 888 are having lots of problems were i am from. have rebuilt tones over the past year. reccomend oyu rebuild them as soon as you ge them for maximum stability if you get the 888.

Date Reviewed: April 5, 2006

Strengths:    -Amazing parts spec
-True 4-Bar, Horst Link rear suspension

Weaknesses:    -BB may be too high for some
-Standover clearance not suited for shorter riders

Bottom Line:
The 2006 Norco Team DH is a monster bike with 8.3 and 9.1 inches of adjustable travel. At just over 45 lbs., the Team DH is built like a tank and comes with an unbelievable list of high end components. Highlights include - Marzocchi 888RC fork, Fox DHX 5.0 shock, Shimano Saint disc brakes, TruVativ Holzfeller cranks with E13 guide and a complete Sram X.O drivetrain.

Norco uses a four-bar suspension with the patented Horst Link. Similar to the old Intense M1, this design eliminates pedal feedback and brake jack, while keeping the suspension fully active. A 64 degree head angle means the Norco is ready to blaze the nastiest shoots.

One thing to note is the bottom bracket is slightly higher than on many other bikes. This takes away some cornering agility but gives the Norco the advantage of turning rock gardens into child's play. The high standover height means the Team DH is better suited for taller riders with aggressive riding style.

At $4300 (US), the Norco Team DH is arguably the cheapest World-Cup caliber downhill racing bike that money can buy... right down to the USA made Hadley hubs and Chris King headset. One could justify buying this bike just on the parts spec alone!

Strengths:    Bike is very, very good. This means that on the straight line is very fast and stable, when cornering people think that you're going straight through the corner and not to turn, allmost perfect. Braking is very good, all the time you can brake at the last moment and with one finger. All parts are excellent.

Weaknesses:    There are no any weaknesses!

Bottom Line:
Bike is good at all points and raedy for all kind of races, for a rocky trails, or for a fast tracks. Setup is excellent. Price is very good. There are better bikes than this, but only few. When we look at the price, bike is the best choice money can buy for privateer racers, and for those serious racers too. Very good price, excellent setup, excellent quality, and the most important thing fast like hell, stops like it has much bigger brakes than 8".
