The Widows Peak was designed by – and for – the most discriminating riders. Starting with the Fezzari Racing Active Platform F235 8.5 inch travel frame, we didn’t want the shock to be the platform, which tends to take some of the liveliness out of it. So we designed a platform into the frame through the linkage positions. It has a rising rate in the pedal range, for solid pedaling, and then a linear rate after, to absorb the big bumps. We then matched it with the latest C-tuned Rockshox Vivid shock to make a super-lively bike that still absorbs big hits. Also, the Vivid is fully adjustable on both ends of the travel spectrum – a first in shocks. So you can dial the Widows Peak suspension exactly to your riding preference.
Strengths: Everything about this bike is amazing. First of all it isn't 7,200 thats how much you would pay for a bike that has what this bike has on it. The bike pedal's better then any other dh bike I have been on. I have been racing it for the last year it took a little adjusting to get it just right, but now I am way faster then I have ever been. Before I got it I rode a Iron Horse Sunday, Specialized Demo, Norco Shore and none of them have held up like this bike has. I have just kept it completly stock except for taking the tubes out. If you want an awsome deal this is the bike to get. Visit Fezzari.com
Weaknesses: The fox 40 the seals seem to leak and have to be replaced often. It does have a little bit diffrent feel then most bikes but once you ride it a few times you will be corning and jumping better then you ever have and be completly comfortable
Best bike I have ever been on. And you can't beat the price.
I am thinking of getting a Sette Vexx frame which is similar to the Fezzari Widows Peak, or Astro ASDHK. I'm 6 ft and 160 lbs, and am wondering if anyone with a similar frame is running a small instead of a medium? What frame size would you recommend? Also, is anyone running a Maxxis 2.7 tire? ...
