Strengths: The Frame is GREAT for its price nice and lite but not to lite for it to bend .
The BB is nice and smooth still after doing some heavy riding.
The wheel set up is amazing specially the cassette hub at the rear was nice and easy to change to single speed.
The derailleur is shifting on key every time.
Weaknesses: the forks are not great way to stiff
the brakes are a good thing to change
the front chain stay is not the best way to much plastic
the standard tires are great if you are just cruising around town but if you go off road change to a heavier tread .
Bottom Line:
Great entry bike or perfect if you want something to work up i highly recommend it to people just starting off or making a transition.
If you can break this bike I think its time to move to a Dual suspension or maybe cut back on the hardcore stuff.
Bike Setup: Maxxis larsen tires ,bomber DJ3 forks 110 travel,Hayes rear brakes,Shimano front brakes, atherton series handle bars,SNAFU sealed pedals, front sun ringle Ryhno lite rim with profile sealed hub.

Strengths: easy to handle, good geo (for my style), can take some heavy hits (wouldn't recommend too many of them though), sram components still work perfectly, rims are still straight and true after some big landings, k-rads grip well on dry surfaces
Weaknesses: launch's aren't the best forks, brakes are reasonable (they have their moments when set up right), bb became a little loose after a couple of months (after another 7-8 months it didn't get any worse, still works so it's all good)
Bottom Line:
good entry level bike for beginners or for people short of change (like me). hasn't gone wrong for me yet.
its performance for its price and quality is 5 chillies, if the bike cost any more it would be less.
Strengths: I think the frame is strong (it didnt break on me), Shifts ok, cranks, my derailur got killed and it still seems to be working ok.
Weaknesses: The bars (i snapped in 2 ... easily, was very scary), stem (all the bolts stripped when i broke the bars), folks, grips, brakes, peadals (really need to be sharper), tyres, chain and it weighs as much as some DH bikes ... its a tank
Bottom Line:
Good for beginers with a shallow pocket, but if you the slightest bit serious ... Dig a bit deeper and get a Giant STP, cant go wrong there. This one has cost me just as much to fix it as it did to buy in the first place
