Strengths:    Quality all round, stiff, light, geometry for DH and handling on the corners/in the air. Short chain stays. Finish cant be bettered.

Weaknesses:    Lack of interchangeable drop outs. Mud clearance.

Bottom Line:
Fantastic frame for AM on hard trails, short chain stays make handling pin sharp on corners and mean you can pick it up or manual with ease, handles well in the air. Construction is for stiffness and enhances handling, also gives great power transfer, weight is well over the rear wheel for the climbs. Reasonably low BB but not so a bashring catches too much in the rough stuff. Lack of tabs and welds close to bb shell ends make fitting of chain device more difficult than it could be but only in terms of minor convenience or chainline adjustment; i had no trouble getting an ideal line with a BB fit P45. DUC fork i have fitted is over long according to Foes but works a treat, slacker head angle and balanced weight distribution feel just spot on. A heavier or longer travel fork may not do so well: borrow one from a mate if you can first. Cable routing very good.
Down side: minor niggles mostly. I would prefer changeable drop outs so i dont need multiple wheel sets but 10mm DT RWS bolt through works well in QR rear. An updated frame would benefit from a 1.5 head tube to allow angle adjustment, but so could they all. For more natural trails in the UK the mud clearance is poor on anything over a 2.1 tyre due to those short chainstays. I raced at Innerleithen and the wheel kept choking. Styling of the top tube might not appeal to some and with the DUC i have used Stealth Frame protector tape to prevent dents.
Top quality strong frame that should last well and the finish is top notch to keep its looks. Rare but if you can find one i would totally recommend you buy.Uk distributor has them on offer....
