Strengths: good for beginners, easy to use, comfortable seat, not too heavy, adequate gear options.Weaknesses: The derailler is really bad, especially as the years go on. From the beginning I could only use the gears on the right handlebar because the left ones wouldn't work properly. My bike switches gears on its own now, which is dangerous if I'm riding through traffic (as I'm wont to do) or several minutes after I tell it to, which can offset your balance and cause a crash. Also, the seat becomes loose all the time. I have to carry around socket wrenches in my backpack to tighten it periodically suring rides.Bottom Line: I got this bike when I was 13 years old with all the savings I had and it worked great for me then and for the next three years, but after that it pretty much went to hell. I'm getting a new bike ASAP. If you don't plan on keeping the bike for as long as I have (six years) and you want to save money, I would suggest this one.

Strengths: Cheap price, rides hard trails, cheap price, gears are alright when you're used to it, strong frameWeaknesses: get used to gears, components are almost bottom of the line, brakes suckBottom Line: Good bike for price, beginner's bike. I use it on mud trails. It does ok on long rides with friends. buy this bike if you are just getting into biking or dont want to spend alot of money.

Strengths: ValueWeaknesses: clunky front derailleurBottom Line: A great value. I use mine mostly with a child carrier and kid attached, so I'm using it on roads, rails-to-trails, and well-groomed park paths, for which this bike seems ideal. I got a 2000 model year on clearance for $190. I think these are value-priced anyway, so you get a lot of bike for this price. By far the best sub $200 bike I could find.
