Strengths: Strong frame, great east coast woods geometry, excellent for urban assaults, high bottom bracket great for jumping and going over logs. Great bike for technical twisty singletrack XC riding and descending.Weaknesses: High bottom bracket also bad for high speed pursuits. More BMX styled top tube length tough for larger folks. No disc brake tabs.Bottom Line: This is my second bike (I have a Intense Tracer as well). I've used it for normal XC rides, extremely technical woods riding, urban assaults, even the occasional DH race. It rocks it most any application. The new breed freeride hardtails are most probably more built for abuse, but the Beast has never let me down and I ride as aggressively as I can muster up. These new breed hardtails definately hasve there roots in Beast style frames of old. I wish Cannondale would continue showing the East Coast love and produce them again.

Cannondale qualityWeaknesses: Stiff rideBottom Line: A good bike to start on...deciding how much you like the sport. Rigid bikes are much cheaper now...
Plus its big fun to hammer your friends on their $2500 FS bikes with this rigid rig...everyone equates $$ to trail ability. Forget it its all in the legs and lungs.
