Strengths: smooth ride, great coasting ability, light and well balanced.Weaknesses: I have no complaints except suspension might be a great add on but besides that a excellent bikeBottom Line: I got stuck at a friends house and needed a ride home he said hey I'm to fat to ride that but you can ride that and keep it for 40 bucks I said aight and took off and after just one block I fell in love. See I have a GT mach one 10 speed and a Mongoose mountain bike with front and back suspension and then i rode this now this bike is making the other bikes collect dust.

Strengths: Good commute bike with skinny road tires and 90lbs pressure, Large frame with very stable road manners. Good trail bike if you remember to take of clip-ons, saddlebags, mirror, and put the knobbies back on. I am a 240 lb + user and have a no component or frame problems, put about a thousand miles a year on it 90% street. Very smooth, comfortable and quite on street. Very capable climber on the trail when compared to "hardrock".Weaknesses: For the price, I don't think it has any. I have noticed some headshaking on tough downhills when pressed. Of course if you have more money, get a lighter cannondale.Bottom Line: 3 years and several thousand miles later I still hop on the bike and go for a couple hour spin whenever I can. It is so quiet, smooth, and stable. And yup, when I strike oil I am going buy another cannondale that is a little lighter.

Similar Products Used: Well I had a 5 speed Schwinn Klunker that weighed 5,000 lbs and a Schwinn Super Sport Road Bike. Guess what, the Cannondale is a lot nicer.

Strengths: STONG AS HELL - I haved crashed this bike, dropped it off my car, ran it in to curbs and even drove it into a parking garage. I cant break it. ==Weaknesses: STIFF - it is tough to keep the tires on the ground when I try to do some serious downhill. This is the only thing that the bike doesnt do for me. I guess I could put some shocks on the front but I dont want to loose the great weight or control that I have now.Bottom Line: I love it and cant break it. It is very light and great for slow technical or uphill riding.

Strengths: Great frame, light, clean workmanship, SRAM ESP drivetrain, rigid fork, upgrading components will put this bike into a whole different class, ships without an AOL CD!Weaknesses: None that have revealed themselves yet . . .Bottom Line: At just under $450, you get a great frame (what a difference it makes), "fair" but usable components (I found the same to be true on bikes up to $1000), and a standard sized head tube for compatibility with most suspension forks. Infact, upgrading any component on this frame will never be a waste of money. Since most of my riding is on pavement and hardpack, the rigid fork is perfect (great handling, light). The whole bike feels "flingable" and is alot of fun to ride. I'm also surprised by how well the SRAM ESP 5.0 drivetrain works. I was skeptical at first, but I find it shifts very well - much better that the Alivio (or worse) that is usally found on similarly priced bikes. If you can actually find one, give it a try. It's one of best ways to spend less than $450 on a "keeper."
