$600.00 | | Purchased At: | LBS | | Strengths: | Light weight. It's a singlespeed. | | Weaknesses: | No disc brake mounts. | | Bike Setup: | Stock | | Bottom Line: | This bike is an absolute blast to ride, both on and off road. The only downside I've found so far is that it doesn't come with disc brake mounts. I'd like to have a disc on the front at least, but don't want to have to add the weight of a suspension fork to get them. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$660.00 | | Purchased At: | b&p cycle (cnd $) | | Strengths: | Value 22 lbs frame feels small underneath you forces you into shape simplicity uniqueness | | Weaknesses: | spot brand rear hub doesn't have the best reputation clip in pedals and a steel frame would have been nice
| | Similar Products Used: | homemade converted SS | | Bike Setup: | stock with exceptions: Bomber Z3 fork Clip in pedals 18t freewheel to get up that hill | | Bottom Line: | The aluminum frame doesn't feel as harsh as others that I have tried. Alot of fun, and the best single speed value on the market (even better than the redline monocog). It is nice to ride a quiet, simple rig when everyone else is spending huge dollars on full suspension. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$600.00 | | Purchased At: | my house | | Strengths: | One gear, no maintenance, light, agile, amazing in technical singletrack, another strength it has is that is will make you STRONGER! No doubt about that and if you are a busy person you can get an awesome workout in 60 minutes that would normally take 3hrs. (no kidding-I'm a trainer-I should know) Flat black is just so stealthy looking, too | | Weaknesses: | haven't found any yet and yes it is offered in 2002-just not in their catalogue-call 'brodie'..i got mine a couple days ago | | Similar Products Used: | scandium unibomber that I demo'ed for 3 months-now I have my own although it is stock aluminum | | Bike Setup: | 17" stock. rigid but I may put a SID on it. I'm trying a 2.4 fatty on the front. Other than that it is stock | | Bottom Line: | I am so stoked on this bike; I waited 3 months for my own & am impressed. My first ride through very technical terrain was an incredible surprise. It is agile, FAST!, lots of get up & go when you push the pedals; climbs stuff I wasn't sure I'd get up. (16/32 ratio)That may get changed to an 18 cog just so the super technical terrain is more manageable. Some guys 1/2 my age say I should be using a 20 tooth. If you're interested in something different, something where you will become a better, smoother, & much stronger rider and you want to be different than your freeriding friends go for it. I have never ridden a rigid fork b4 & I've been riding mtb for about 15 years. It isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Yes, your whole arms are going to feel it but it is a good feeling.......well used! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$800.00 | | Purchased At: | Bike and Bean | | Strengths: | Stiffff,Strong climbs like crazy | | Weaknesses: | I keep reaching for the shifter | | Bike Setup: | z.3, v's, stylo (what else, its a singlespeed) | | Bottom Line: | Push the pedals, its on! Fells like it speeds up by itself. Gotta run the tires hard. Hope your rides dont have any long flat road sections, you're gonna die of boredom. Doesnt have the same rear Triangle as the holeshot, so the drops are a bit stiff, but you can't break it. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$600.00 | | Purchased At: | Victoria | | Strengths: | It has only one gear. You ****ing idiots that complain about a single speed obviously are not inteligent enough to realize what the difference is! Single Woo Hoo!!!
This bike rocks. Riding with no suspension. Although I changed out the tires for some 2.4 inch fatties and it rocks in the trecherous technical stuff. No need to worry about blowing out front shocks bottoming out flipping over... This is a real mans bike none of that caddilac riding plush pussing free ride stuff. Get real! Go Brodie.
This bike has the strongest frame I have seen excepting the Santa Cruz Single frame that was twice the price. Go Brodie! | | Weaknesses: | The only weakness I saw was that this bike is not offered in 2002... :-(... | | Similar Products Used: | bianchi cuss, Ventana, Santa Cruz.... and so many others | | Bike Setup: | Just the way it was sold. Although I changed the peddles to 747 clippless and the tires to 2.4 inche wide. | | Bottom Line: | This bike rocks for those that appreciate a real bike and the skill one gains by riding it. This is no pus*y free ride bike!!! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1200.00 | | Purchased At: | Bike and Bean | | Strengths: | Lightweight, Zero Maintenance, Fun factor | | Weaknesses: | Factory gearing is ridiculous for tough trails | | Similar Products Used: | Voodoo Nzumbi, Bianchi BASS | | Bike Setup: | Marzocchi QR20 - custom wheelset - everything else stock | | Bottom Line: | Great value, and how easy is it to simply re-lube and tighten a chain for maintenance? Too easy! The fork is a bit heavy, but required for Sedona. I switched the gearing to a 32 in the front and a 20 in the back - the damn thing is a mountain goat now. I would not recommend this bike for anyone other than the 2% of the population that likes simplicity, and accepts not being able to clear everything on every trail.
It forces you into shape, and makes even a short 1 hour ride a tough challenge.
This bike comes stock for less than $800. Brodie makes nothing but great stuff.

$300.00 | | Purchased At: | Used but had been rode only twice | | Strengths: | Amazingly lite, cheap, impresive frame and paint quality, chews up most hills, diffent, ease of maintanance and great reliability | | Weaknesses: | One spead, broke the freewheel on third ride replaced with shimano, hard to keep up on the flat, extreamly rigid on teachnical trails. | | Similar Products Used: | None | | Bike Setup: | short stem and riser bars, WTB bmx pedals that are cliples on one side(cool), Ritchey semi slick tires. | | Bottom Line: | This probably should not be your only bike but if you want a cool second bike that accealerates like a bat out of hell and will out climb most $4000 dollar bikes than you should look at the brodie uni-bomber. If this is going to be your only ride or you plan on riding really technical rides your buddies will eat you up! It is very lite and cheap rigid bike with one speed and is very good at what it is and very bad at what it is not. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Oh,and by the way,try riding it as a single-speed.You might actually like the idea of ZERO maintenance and simple riding.Yeah,I consider those to be perks.
