Strengths: Good value for the $, light weight, plush fork.Weaknesses: uncomfortable WTB tri-lite seat, seat post bolt snappedBottom Line: I weighed the bike on my bathroom scale (me with bike minus me) at 24.5 lbs. I have the size "Large" which I think is a 17".
The seat post (Titec X-wing) bolt snapped during a ride last week. Titec acknowledged that this is a problem and sent a redesigned replacement assembly within a few days.
I have no complaints about the Noleen fork. I check the pressure both sides before each ride, and about every other week I add some air. I use between 5 and 10 psi less than the K2 recommended pressure on the spring side and 20 psi more than recommended on the damper side.
On the road, I notice that there is a lot of chain noise. I'll try changing over to premium chain and report back if it makes a difference.
Before purchasing the K2 Zed Team, I was riding my trusty 1988 Panasonic steel MTB (it weighed 35 lbs), so comparisons aren't relevant. The bike is definitely more trail capable than I am. All I can say is that I like the bike and I love to ride it.

Strengths: Super smooth, fast and fairly light weight.Weaknesses: Wheels and seatpost blow.Whats up with the deore front derailleur?Bottom Line: I have had many bikes but there is something about the ZED TEAM not the 2001 razorback. As listed in the review before this one it is now called the zed team.I love this bike it feels so good very responsive and lively ride.It climbs like an elevator.I know many people dont like k2 but ride this one and you may change your mind.If your into cross country or love singletrack long climbs this bike is the one. Not a freeride or downhill.

Strengths: I'm assuming it would have many, as actualy models of K2 bike have been entirely decentWeaknesses: I'd have to guess it would also have cheap componentsBottom Line: This product doesnt exist, guys. Its called the Zed Team now.
