Strengths: strong mediumweight not too expensiveWeaknesses: weakness?Bottom Line: great bike for the price has stood up to everything i have thrown at it ideal for the weekend warrior. also good for anyone that doesnt want to spend more money on a bike than a new car or someone who wont flip out if it isnt lighter than air

Strengths: Frame Geometry and quality are A+. The frame is stiff and responise albeit light and manueverable. I have a 16.5" frame that gives me plenty of clearance and is great for tight cornering. Rock Shox seatpost - A+++.Weaknesses: I do not like the cable-actuated Hayes disc brake. It does not give me the stopping power I want for the weight it adds. I will be switching to an XT V-Brake for the front. I am also going to change from the Judy 100 to something with a little less travel - 80 mm or so. The 100 is a little to mushy for me even with extra firm springs.Bottom Line: A great bike for cross country riding. It is light/fast/ and responsive. Plus, I beat the crap out of it and it still holds up really well. The Rock Shox seat post is a great addition.
Favorite Trail: Busse Woods off-road - five munites away - great all-around workout

Strengths: Light Weight, Nice shock, Frame is very nicely made.Weaknesses: Way too large Q-factor on ICON cranks, Rear cassette strength suspect, Rear Rolf hub sounds worn out from the factory.Bottom Line: This is a nice bike. Handles very well, both climbing and decending. The frame is not too harsh, and the SID is very nice. The cranks are too far apart. They came with about 1/2" of clearance between the arm and the chainstay, and the chainline was off to the outside. The cassette shifted on the freehub, and the chain dropped into the spokes, ruining 3 of them. I don't know if this is a 9spd thing or not, but the lockring was definitely tight. The rear hub makes alot of bearing noise, even after cleaning and repacking. Overall, I would recommend this bike to anyone looking for a competitive race machine, or a supper nice all around MTB.

Bottom Line: I have a little over 500 miles on and off road on it so far.
no problems to report, I am surprised at the strength of the rims, tougher than they look, still straight. The sid xc fork is excellent, much better than the judy xc I had with my 7000 last year. Overall I am very pleased with it so far.
