$1200.00 | | Strengths: | Bomb proof | | Weaknesses: | Just a minor little one. Seatpost is 30.9 and not found in every shop. In fact it can be a challnge to find one. | | Similar Products Used: | Klein Attitude | | Bike Setup: | Rigida wheels, Syncros seatpost, Ritchey stuff | | Bottom Line: | I've owned a lot of bikes and dont even know the number anymore. This one never disappointed me and I cannot think of anything that would make it better. Well, a 30.8 seatpost would make it perfect! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Amherst, NH Date Reviewed: April 2, 2000 | | Duration Product Used: | 1 Year | | Strengths: | Amazing bike for the price. I've had it for almost a year now, with no major problems. | | Weaknesses: | Crank loosens on bottom bracket. | | Bottom Line: | This is one of the best bikes I have ever seen for the price. I did a lot of shopping around before getting this bike, I've very glad I went with the M2 Pro. There is nothing it doesn't do well. Very fast and stiff, the power on climbs is incredible, the SID is amazing, very light.
I just picked up a 2000 M2 Pro yesterday for a friend. I would highly recomend this bike for anyone looking to do some hard riding. Nothing i have riding can out-climb this bike. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Dallas, TX Date Reviewed: January 27, 2000 | | Favorite Trail: | Bar H | | Duration Product Used: | 3 months | | Strengths: | Light weight, great components, superb maneuverability in the tight stuff, awesome cornering. And the SID is first rate; best RS has put out in years. | | Weaknesses: | XTR Rapid Rise | | Bike Setup: | Stock except Bontrager SuperX tires. | | Bottom Line: | Bike has held up well. Rims a little brittle (avoid sharp edges). XTR Rapid Rise works well in a 5-6 gear range; too high or low and ratcheting becomes bothersome. Must have: the Bontrager SuperX tires. Absolutely the best I've ever ridden. Tracks well in every condition (except deep sand, but what tire is great in those conditions?). The M2 Pro is an outstanding value. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Dallas, TX Date Reviewed: December 25, 1999 | | Favorite Trail: | Cedar Hill, Grapevine | | Duration Product Used: | less than 1 month | | Strengths: | Weight (22.5), maneuverability, components | | Weaknesses: | Rear combo (XTR rapid rise and 9 gear) may eventually prove bothersome. | | Similar Products Used: | Schwinn Homegrown, Gary Fisher | | Bottom Line: | A near perfect bike for technical singletrack with narrow, twisting climbs and descents. Sharp, precise cornering inspires confidence, outstanding acceleration and climbing characteristics, no flex. Nice component group (XT/XTR), linear Avids both progressive and strong. RockShox SID (80 mm) outstanding for North Texas trails. Jury still out on the XTR Rapid Rise & 9 speed combo. Shifting accurate but not as crisp as standard XTR setup. Maintenance may be an issue; will follow-up in 30 days.Overall, an outstanding bike and value. Nice asthetics (pearl yellow not overbearing, cherry red spoke nipples a nice touch). While my scrotum misses the plush ride of my old FSR, the rest of my mind and body agree: this bike was made for North Texas trails. | Overall Rating: |
