Strengths: This bike has a great frame, lightweight, right geometry for me. The gripshift is great, smooth and reliable. Good, solid bike. It helps that I picked it up barely used after it was upgraded with Atom 80 forks, XTR brakes, Shimano 515 pedals. I also swapped in an Easton straight bar and a Specialized saddle.
Weaknesses: Low riser bar. Selle Italia stock saddle was not anatomically friendly.
Bottom Line:
A great bike. Not made anymore, but still a great bike to buy if you can find one in someone's inventory or used. You don't need more bike than this to get into riding XC. I recommend this bike for anyone wanting a lightweight yet solid bike for riding trails, singletrack, or even beginner or sport class racing.
Bike Setup: Michelin Wildgripper tires. Marzocchi Z2 Atom 80. XTR brakes. SRAM gripshifter with SRAM rear derailler and LX front derailler.

Strengths: Foolproof frame, very strong, very light, no flex. Good shocks for the money, a little soft in my opinion but I upgraded to sid race's anyways. Excellent derailleurs. Do 4 ft.+ drops all the time, no crank bends, warps or cracks. Excellent cranks. Crisp shifters. Rims could be better but again I put rhyno lites on before I bought it, so no problem there. Allaround excellent bike. Sram derailleur works better with grip shifts than my Shimano XTR did with rapidfires on my old sasquatch.
Weaknesses: Yellow shocks and blue/white frame kinda clash, but the sid race shocks i put on are silver and look great.
Bottom Line:
Great bike, especially for the money. I've been very pleased with canadian bikes. But the new norco line isn't made with the easton tubing, which is what gives rockey mountain's bikes such an edge.
Strengths: Nice solid frame, good fork, components
Weaknesses: None yet
Bottom Line:
This is a great bike. I had been looking for a nice hardtail with some good components on it for a long time. I was about to buy a 2001 Norco but I'm glad I got this bike instead. It is my new love.

Strengths: Nice Canadian frame, decent brakes + shifters, very nice LX and sram 9.0 derailleurs, and a very smooth judy fork.
Weaknesses: None so far
Bottom Line:
Good allaround bike, better rims couldn't hurt, but no other problems. WAY better than my p.o.s. charger, the seatpost kept snapping under my enormous weight.

Weaknesses: Not much but the stock tires.
Bottom Line:
A great bike not too much to ask and all around a strong piece of metal. Not may people unless hard-core would not like this bike!!

Strengths: GOOD frame, (top of line in aluminum), GOOD sram components, VERY light bike, VERY smooth, plush shocks, and decent tires.
Weaknesses: Other than the colour contrast between the fork and the frame, the bike has no apparent flaws. Except for FAT people, with the initials J.D. who write posts on bikes they don't own, wish they didn't waste their money on a crappy-ass norco, and wish they spent their rent money on their OWN computer, instead of using someone elses to write a review on a bike that they can't afford. Stupid people like him "john mc kinna" a.k.a. JAMES DENT, a fat kid from b.c., well let's just say if you are considering this bike, do NOT pay attention to his post. p.s. (he rides a hunk of crap ccm bike, I ride a vapour, which cost more than his house)
Bottom Line:
If people who don't own bikes didn't write reviews on them, maybe this website could help more people.

Strengths: light,good brake response
Weaknesses: un solid,horrible shifting,weak frame,very weak rims,cheap hubs
Bottom Line:
this bike is over priced sram does'nt provide good parts for their 7.0 and 9.0 top of the line crud/ you should not buy this bike unless you are 60 year old granny looking for a expensive peice of garden decoration. The only thing I like on my bike is the paint job.
