Strengths:    I bought only the frame for £320 and put my components of my old bike on it. no complaints bout the bike

Weaknesses:    none

Bottom Line:
A quality steel frame bike. Defently worth choosin your own components for it though. The paint is super thick as i discovered on my first ride on it. My forks weigh more than the frame i swear. But overal defently worth it.

Strengths:    Handling. Body position. Looks cool. Steel. Springy ride feel.

Weaknesses:    Steel rusts if not looked after.

Bottom Line:
Bought the frame as a steel hack to replace my Rockhopper hack/commute when I lived in London. Built it up with some basic components. Liked the ride in a big way. Started riding it more than my race-spec Paragon (Time Carbons, ESP 9.0sl). Added some tricker parts (better forks - they can transform the ride, longer pin, handbuilt wheels etc.). Now it looks the nads and rides fantastically.

Initially it feels like it has a slack seat angle, which is strange. Then you find that picking up the back wheel is easier. Cool. Then you realise that you can manual better. Fantastic! Then you realise that bunny-hopping is harder. Strange, but not a major problem. This is while you rediscover your *freeriding* (sic) roots and start jumping and dropping a lot more with your newfound confidence while descending faster, but still being able to climb. Strange, but very good.

I admit that this was the bike I started using risers on, but that shouldn't make it this much fun to ride. I love it to pieces, and am going to get it a late Xmas pressie of some Hope minis soon, so riding in Yorkshire isn't the rim and brake-block experience it has been previously.

£600 for a rigid version? Absolute steal, especially as they are going to be made in Britain soon. Then get some decent forks (Pace or Zocchis) and let the good times roll!

Strengths:    Light, good geometry, reasonable price, steel(yes i said steel), and its made by orange, thick paint as i no ive tested it many times.

Weaknesses:    could be lighter(as 4 every bike) otherwise i aint found 1 yet.

Bottom Line:
An excellent bike an well worth the money. I went for just the frame package which allowed me 2 put what i want on it so im very happy. Probably the best steel bike you will get for under a £1000. (frame £320 whole bike is £700)

Strengths:    Light, fast, build quality, wheels.

Weaknesses:    Ritchey SPDs (supplier swopped them for original spec)

Bottom Line:
Fantastic, my first upgrade for twelve years. Highly recommended to anyone serious about XC. No complaints, except for SPDs which weren't original spec anyway. I'll be getting some Time pedals later this year.

Strengths:    light steel full LX Groupset hand built wheelset?(see ALSO Weaknesses)

Weaknesses:    wheelset- rear needed truing every ride until I got it re-built at LBS now run true for last three months with no attention, spyder fork

Bottom Line:
awesome steel framed bike factory spec spyder a little inadequate otherwise spot on spec bar/stem combo personal taste.Having only owned alu bikes found this a bit of a revelation with the acceleration of a alu frame with the comfort of a very well built steel framed bike.Plus i got £225 off RRP!

Strengths:    Good old steel frame. Bombproof performance. Nice rigid fork.

Weaknesses:    Cheap Headset

Bottom Line:
Finally a well priced CroMo Steel Bike which looks great with its slim tubes. Lightweighted, very lively to ride and verryy fast (with 1" slicks and an Orange rigid fork). The ideal steel bike for fast cruising around town with its matt black frame.

Strengths:
Very Light, comfortable (enough) and just the right amount of flex

Weaknesses:
You can buy cheaper bikes but hey! So what.

Bottom Line:
The P7 is a little snapper. It accelerates really well and climbing is a (relative) doddle. IMHO this is an excellent lightwieght bike and has served me well on 4 day long range treks and quick runs after work. Right up until someone stole it 3 weeks ago. But I've just ordered a new one so the P7 can't be too bad... 5 Big fat steaming carrots for me old (and new I hope) P7
