Strengths:    The frame is very strong and has quick handling, especially with a shortish stem fitted.
Mud clearance is good.

Weaknesses:    The 'Chilli Yellow' colour can look ginger if riding around sunset hours!
The Head-tube was not properly squared off.

Bottom Line:
I bought this frame at the 2000 bike show in Birmingham. It's actually a 99 model which is why I got it so cheap (only £150 instead of £319 rrp). It handles beautifully with 80mm travel forks (I've got all-travel on my judys and I think it's best at 80mm) and is more than capable of handling moderate air-time. It's not the lightest of frames, but then you know it's not going to break in a hurry either!

Strengths:    Beautiful frame, lightning quick and seriously strong (a great combination. Orange brand parts (good quality for in-house). Wheels (hand-built at this price!!!)

Weaknesses:    Drive-train (especially the front mech, nasty), I suppose they had to keep the price down somehow!!! Manitou Magnums are ok, but at least the frame justifies getting something better.

Bottom Line:
£500.00 for all that bike. Look at the competition, Trek 4500 (I don't think so), Kona Blast (Sync forks, nuff said) etc, etc. A quality bike with massive potential to upgrade, you can zip up hills and then 'free-ride' (I hate that expression!!!) down them again. Buy one!!! This was my first proper mountain bike and it has the potential to be the only one I'll ever need.

Strengths:    Strength

Weaknesses:    geometry is wrong for anything less than 100mm of travel, bars are too short, components are cheap, paint won't clean properly.

Bottom Line:
The bike rides really weel, but it needs to have at least 3.5 to 4in of travel and some decent parts - unlike the crap that orange give you, and whatever happens, don't buy the rigid version or you'll feel like a roadie

Strengths:    This bike is the dogs bollocks, i had first as a cross country bike with some manitou xc forks and it fitted in anywhere, i now have z1 bams on with beefy tioga downhill tyres and it fits in on the jump scene.

Weaknesses:    Not much, fork upgrade and drivetrain upgrade make this bike bloody brilliant.

Bottom Line:
THIS BIKE IS BRILLIANT.
