Weaknesses:    A bit on the heavyier side

Bottom Line:
This bike has lasted me 11years. It's a great bike. The downfall I paid more than everyone else. I use it the comute 15 miles a day. It's a fun bike to have and durable. I want to get. Gary fisher wahoo but I will not sell this bike. Will still keep it. I love riding this bike. If you. Begginer or intermediate you will enjoy this bike. Cromoly frame is great. And very comfortable over long distance

Strengths:    This bike has awesome durability, having used it for over 2 years it has stood the test of time very well. the frame is secong to none. I have used the frame for everything from, fitting a long travel fork (rockshox pike) for some freeriding to using the bike for street trials and dirt jumps.

Weaknesses:    As i expected, when i bought this bike, the cheaper no-name components (BB, headset etc) went very early both emmiting a chourus of squeeks. The rims are of very poor quality. both deraliers are very vounerable and have been knocked around alot leading to a bit of ghost shifts. The standard forks can be repaced when they seize up.

Bottom Line:
Perfect for the begginner of intermediate alike. A very nimble bike, great on fast singletrack.

Strengths:    nice solid frame.no signs of stress on frame, tires pretty good for 1.95's,shimano impulse levers are solid,so are brakes

Weaknesses:    i found the suntour shocks way to soft and weak for me,i've seen some stress just under the shock tower. bottom bracket developed play within 2 months of riding.rims bent about 3 months ago, upgraded to fusion 26*1.5 rims. suntour sunrace deralliur has broken twice replaced both times

Bottom Line:
if you want a bike that you can upgrade (I'd prefer you do this rather than dealing with these problems i listed) or just for a cruise downtown, this is the bike for you.BUT! if you want to use this as a racing bike....DO NOT,I repeat,DO NOT for hells sake, dont, youll kill yourself

Strengths:    This is an update of my earlier review, and I only have one thing to say: I should/ve kept my mouth shut. I hate this bike. The only thing that I like are the breaks... still strong and responsive after a year and a half of use.

Weaknesses:    Lots. The drive train sucks (both derrailuers have come unaligned more than once), the frame squeaks tons, and the seat came loose at high speeds and caused me to pull a nutter.

Bottom Line:
Dont buy this bike. whatever you do, stay away from this bike. I hate it. the lack of a chain guard also pisses me off; ive chewed up 3 pairs of jeans now just riding on streets.

Strengths:    Really Good frame, relyable and a good bike for the money.

Weaknesses:    Some of the parts are a little weak, but otherwise good bike.

Bottom Line:
This frame has gotta be the best damn frame ever! It took a lot of stuff from me before its transformation. I turned it into a 5 foot forked, extended rear-end, lean, mean, road tearin machine. Her new name is Poppa Chopp. The bike is in like new. After like 3 years, she is still kickin butt.

Strengths:    A medium weighted bike. Strong brakes and the granny gear is great for old guys like me. Money spent on upgrades is worth making this bike a better one for harder trails. Have riden with my friends with their Santa Cruz's etc and have done fine.

Weaknesses:    1" threaded headset and steerer tube is a major pain when upgrading forks. Spent almost as much on the fork (Judy) and parts as I did on the bike.

Bottom Line:
A good starter bike and with some upgrades, good enough to go on the tougher trails until I get the cash for the dream bike.

Strengths:    Strong steel frame (not to heavy) with decent accessories. Brakes are powerful and easy to control. Front shock works well most of the time.

Weaknesses:    Still having problems with the drivetrain and particularly setting the rear derailer. I find the front shock too spongy for the more aggressive rides, I have hit the bottom many times and it just 'springs' back at you.

Bottom Line:
This bike is great value and has good components for the beginner and someone who plans on riding 'groomed' park trails. For me this was not the right choice, I ride too hard and too aggressively on a daily basis. I should have gone to a DX4.0 or better.
The bottom line - This is a great value for money bike that will probably suit most riders - but dont expect too much for about $300.

Bike Setup:   Currently the bike is stock with end grips added. I am considering a new shock and maybe a new derailer if I cannot get this one working right.
