Strengths:    Well its pretty much all good. Brakes seem just fine. I have ridden it for along time and done alot of stuff on it. I am very suprised I havnt broken the thing in two(or more like a million peices). People say the shoxs arent very good but they have done me fine and i cant really find any diff between the and otheres.

Weaknesses:    I bend the rims alot and fix them alot, BUT with what I do to it I am surpised the havnt folded them yet. I broke the plastic pedal(they kinda suck). But hey its only a pedal who gives(there very cheap mowhaha so i can buy them). I have had troubles with the brakes but not anything big. I have just had a hard time reajusting them.

    Bottom Line:
Great bike. Not to expasnive. I would personaly get different rims(I BEND THEM SO MUCH). If you are hard core i wouldnt sugjest it. But i luve it.

Strengths:    The frame is really light and strong

Weaknesses:    could use better shocks like rock shocks or something they only have sync spinner 327"s and the pedals are plastic it could use a pair of clipless !

    Bottom Line:
the bike is really good and i would reccomend it to anyone who wants to get out on the trails and ride its race proven and its really cool im only 12 but its a really
good bike trust me on this one

Strengths:    Durable, cheap, pretty good tires, shocks are good for price

Weaknesses:    brakes aren't great, shocks are not the best, the rims have given me some problems, but minor problems

    Bottom Line:
It's a good bike for people looking to upgrade from their old ones. It has a good price for how it works and is fairly strong. I just fixed my up a little by adding some clipless pedals and new brakes. People should buy this bike and if they feel comfortable with it, they should upgrade the bike by adding new parts.

    Strengths:    Frame,Ride position,Components,Value for money

Weaknesses:    The brakes are non shimano and i have problems with them

    Bottom Line:
The frame is one of the best ive seen on a bike this price.Iam only 12 but i know what i am talking about as i read MBUK and MBR every month. The only real problem are the brakes as even my little brothers bike has shimanos on it.i may start racing on this bike soon.if you are a regular mountain biker on a budget, get this. If you are a dirt jumper i would leave it as the frame is not built for jumping.

Strengths:    Lightweight, excellent frame, nice aesthetics. Seat reasonably comfy, forks decent enough, brakes good even though they are not shimano.

Weaknesses:    None really for the price. One of the reflectors did snap off the pedal after about a week though.

    Bottom Line:
A bit pricey when compared to other bikes but a lightweight well-balnced bike which represents good value for money even at the sky-high prices paid in the UK.

Bottom line is that I am happy and would buy the bike again!

Strengths:    I found that the Isnyc frort shokes were very good for the price of the bike. The frame is light and strong, and is a very good buy for people wanting to up grade some of the parts.

Weaknesses:    I was basicly happy with everthing except the rims. In the first few weeks of owning the bike I had several problems with the rims. The spokes were not tight enough and rims would deform on every bump. But I solved the problem with a spoke rench

    Bottom Line:
The Hawk Hill is a great bike for the prices. Since I was buying the bike with my own money, and I am only 13 years old, I had a limited amount of money. I think I got a great buy.

Also having a good dealer is very important. Unless you are an expert free tune ups, for a mounth or two, are a must. That gives you time to find all of the small problems with the bike and have the fixes

Strengths:    Price, frame, overall design and look (important in vain New York City)!

Weaknesses:    Although all upgradable: the hard seat, questionable N'Sync fork, pedals, and generic brakes (even Toys R' Us gives you Shimano Brakes on their $100.00 bikes).

    Bottom Line:
Great bike for the price! Took a hiatus from biking for several years. Decided to get back into biking and was shocked to find that most bikes were priced close to or more that $1,000.00!!! Here, you get a solid light frame, decent parts (upgradable),and a company that knows about mountain bikes - all for under $500.00.

This is the ideal bike for beginners who are looking for a solid, light, dependable bike - while not looking to pay the price of an overpriced New York City tiny one bedroom apartment. i.e., $2,500.00.
