Strengths: i don't know, the bike doesn't existWeaknesses: sameBottom Line: would be a neat bike except when Trek aquired Klein in 1998 they discontinued the Pulse series b/c it was in competition with their 1000 series. The Pulse was a great frame in 98 and the Trek 1000 series is at a lower level.
