Strengths:    extremely stable on downhills, fast uphills, good looking

Weaknesses:    none that are serious

Bottom Line:
won three medals on this bike in cc races in six months. and ridden over 6000 km! have an extra set of tires for touring and beat most road bikes on the road. the bike is light for a chrom moly frame and works even in the worst conditions. hard to get a bike like this for the price

Strengths:    Inexpensive

Weaknesses:    Weak frame, marginal components

Bottom Line:
Don't waste your time on this bike. I had my Schwinn mountain bike for 18 years, rode through all kinds of stuff, and never had a problem. I had the NOMAD for 3 weeks, hit a rut at slow to moderate speeds and trashed the frame. The really horrible thing is that KHS basically said "too bad, so sad. Nice to see you wouldn't want to be you." and stiffed me and my dealer. I know alot of other riders, many who are racers, and to a person they thought the frame should have been warrantied or at least I should have been allowed to purchase a frame at a deep discount. But, alas KHS stinks!! If you intend to buy one of these to cruise the roads around your house, have fun! If you are going to ride off-road, don't waste your time. I wish I could give it zero chilis!!

Strengths:    the rear hub and the frame are the real strong points of the bike because the bike only weighs 21 pounds. It has great handeling and good stopping power, it is so easy to go uphill and get going really fast because it is so light. Tis bike also didn't break the bank because it only costed 750 canadian which would be 503 american

Weaknesses:    the brakes and the front hub are the bikes only weakness because the are made by power tools. Don't get me wrong they still stop great, except they could be lx or alevio or something

Bottom Line:
this is a great bike for the money, it has a good combination of components and is very light i would suggest for anyone to buy it!
