Strengths: Light Frame, strong rims, good tires, and a very low price tag. Worthy of upgrades. Responds very well on technical trails.Weaknesses: The crank isn't that great, and the shocks that came with it were horrible!!! I replaced the shocks the day I got the bike. The headset isnt very strong.Bottom Line: This is a great entery level bike for anyone who is considering mountain biking. The parts on the bike will not work very long, but the bike is very worthy of upgrades if you are on a low budget. I can stand up and compete with other mountain bikes with higher price tags. Good job KHS!!!

Strengths: Price. For $350.00 it kicks all the other bikes in this price range butt. I hit the scale at 250lbs and this frame has very little flex. Handles very nicely on the trail. The Power Tools Brakes stop very well.Weaknesses: Front suspension upgrade to rock shocks. You can pick up a killer deal on 1999 JETTs. The OM petals suck. Crank set is a little on the weak side but they work ride them til they break!Bottom Line: Bottom line is this I have $450.00 into this bike and I love it. It preforms well even with my weight. It handles all the trails around here with ease. This bike feels like it should be in the $550 range, mind you it could use some upgrading in the cranks. My next bike will be a KHS. I'm sold on this bike. If you have more change in your pockets then I do buy the Alite 1000 if not buy this bike and enjoy.
