Strengths:    Very good combination of quality components for the dollar. Not much experience yet but I like the Manitou shock. This, for me, was an excellent buy for someone getting back into biking and trying out the off-road stuff for the first time.

Weaknesses:    The seat is killing my a**! But maybe it's just cuz I'm a beginner. But for the money, not a dang thing!

Bottom Line:
I checked out a lot of bikes in the $500-$700 category. I found a local shop that sold the Jamis line. Their attention to the customer and the time they took in talking with me was the ultimate clincher. The component set-up met the dollar to quality ratio I was looking for. I'm hoping to work my into full-suspension but I planned to stick to the road a lot at first. Need to get back into shape too! :) But overall impression was that this bike's fit and finish were excellent! Upon delivery, I was even more impressed. First ride was a total blast!

Strengths:    New Frame style, Beefy Chainstays, pretty stiff frame, beautifull plaint,Light for its price range, decnt component group for its price,Rides wonderfull on single track and climbing.

Weaknesses:    Crappy front fork (Manitout MAgnum)
Fairly Flexy Cranks (SHimano Alivio)
And Front derailler (Alivio) On hard pack condition the bike can get kinda squirlly on down hills, but thios may attribute to the rim selection Alex Moulton.

Bottom Line:
Great Friggin Bike For yer money Value PLus
Look Really Nice , Rides Equally . I would Upgrade the fork in the shop and change the pedal as well (prollly go clipless)The tires it comes with )hutchinson chameleons) can get really squirrly, so id change da tire as well. Rims are nicely made, But will need an upgrade depending in how you use yer bike. all in All im extremely happy bout this bike.
I f yer a racer dont BUY this bike
its not a racing bike!! If your an entry level kinda person and wants to check out MTN biking , Then go out and buy this bike You wont be unhappy at all.
