Strengths:    This bike flat out screams on the DH's. So smooth and stable. Great geometry with the A frame design. Light!!! About 25 lbs with Rhino Lite (heavy) wheels and cheap formula hubs. This bike could weigh about 21 lbs with a new wheelset, bars, seatpost... Great (Mars Elite) forks. Alot more damped that the standard Sid's. Great brakes (Hayes Hydro) stop on a dime!!! (Dont get oil on them, just wipe the pads over with pure alcohol if they get a bit slipery.)Awsome XT/9.0sl Gear combination. Crisp shifts. Every time. Gotta love that Cane Creek headset!!!

Weaknesses:    Don't overly like the Thud Buster seatpost. Got a stiff frame, why don't I take advantage of it!!! Gotta keep it "standard". Needs flat bars. Pro Tapers are good, but this bike was made for XC!!! Average wheels and hubs. Iron Horse spent the money else where, but Formula hubs with almost DH wheels... Nah!!! I'll be getting some Hugi 240's with Ritchey OCR or X-max tubeless.

Bottom Line:
Get this bike if you ride for fun, or race for pain. It will handle almost anything you can ride it over, and is still so feather weight like enough to get you up the other side without having to walk.
