Strengths: Frame soaks up bumps better than aluminum. If you like a stiff fork than you will like this one. The seat post suspension makes a soft ride but adds weight. Really knoby tires good grip. Front disc brake good stopping power when you need it.Weaknesses: The weight, kind of heavy for a hardtail.Bottom Line: If you dont have than much money and dont care about weight than this bike is for you. And if you like a stiff fork, at least you wont bottom out all the time which is a good thing. Pretty good stopping power from the front disk, it dosent have a disc in the rear maybe to save weight I dont know. I really didnt know much about bikes when I got it and wasnt the best mountain biker either but really did some improvement with this bike on my biking skills.

Strengths: shox absorbing sweet partsWeaknesses: heavy, saddle's just awfulBottom Line: pretty heavy cromoly frame absorbs much shocks so much better than aluminium.
it comes with cheap but good working manitou shox.
and hayes disc works awesome.
try this bike if you are not really serious about weight and
one thing is surely needed...new saddle. trust me you do need a better saddle than that.
