    Strengths:    It's a very hard and resistent frame. Great look!

    Weaknesses:    None

    Bottom Line:   
    This frame it´s probably the best aluminium frame in the world. Begining with the material, 7020 Aluminium much stronger than 7005 Aluminium, the geometry(it is very agressive, because zymotic is a dual frame , not a cross-country frame)and the look, make this frame the number one in quality. It's a good choice for those who like hardtails.

    Strengths:    This is a really stiff and accelerative frame with wonderful weldings and beautyful features like cnc milled dropouts and bottom bracket to chainstay connector (like Manitou HT), butted headtube(outside), box shaped chainstays, and ovalized downtube.

    Weaknesses:    My first one (1995 made in Taiwan) broke after a half year of cross-country racing lengthwise the headtube. The second frame (model 1996) is cracking at the moment a bit above the weld where the seatstays meet the seattube. And there is a crack across the gusset underneath the headtube and the downtube.
    So, you see the weldings are well done, but the material is fatigued. Maybe the newer frames consists of better aluminium alloy.

    - bad durability of the used aluminium ally

    Bottom Line:   
    Make sure you are rich enough by choosing the frame. Steel is more durable and will still work after many years - the strengths of aluminium alloy will drop a lot after 4 years of using.
    If you don't believe, ask an engineer!

    well, the damn thing cracked at the seat tube.
    (a month after the warranty was over)
    besides, it's a good frame, but i'll buy myself some fat FR next time...
    (this one was used purely as XC, though)

    Strengths:    extra stiff, nice features (rectangular chain stay = no chain suck, disc brake mount, gussets). Extremely precisely machined (was easy to install head set, bottom bracket) good paint job.

    Weaknesses:    really none

    Bottom Line:   
    Well, I'ev three bikes in use now and can appreciate the personality of each. The Trek OCLV obviates the need of a fully; it is very comfy, excellent for extensive tours. The Hot Chili is very stiff, you can really bang it around in difficult country. It is as precise as a surgeons knife. The DeKerf is the most beautyful bike I've ever put my eyes on, and it is somewhere between the Trek and the Hot Chili. If I had to choose one, I'd stick to the DeKerf. In Comparison to the Indian Fire Trail, the Hot Chili is the nicer frame, for sure.

    Strengths:    strong(yet), stiff(still), lightweight, beautiful

    Weaknesses:    they tell you that it's no jump-bike so all you can do is bunny-hop up to 35cm(=1 ft)

    Bottom Line:   
    really good frame, nice handling
    I'm a bit disappointed that i can't jump a bit higher, but you just can't have everything ;)
