Strengths: very lite, looks sweet tooWeaknesses: saddle could be a lot stronger, given I am 220lbs rider, but still!!Bottom Line: great bike, my first bike. Comes with good entry level components if you want to try a little racing. Haro makes really good bmx and flatland bikes now their mtb market is taking off too!! I got special deal cause i worked for a bike shop :)

Strengths: Manufacturing is top notch. Haro put all of the effort in to the frame and then gave the bike a solid set of components to make for a well-balanced design. No one part was weaker than any other (with one exception, see below).Weaknesses: 1) The brake were so hard they ripped chuncks of aluminum out of the rims. Luckily, due to other reviews I caught it in time. The dealer replaced the pads with Kool Stops and I had no more problems.
2) The seat was awful. I replaced it with an older broken in Brooks and all was fine.Bottom Line: After one year I'm am as happy that I bought it as the day I rode it out of the shop. It has held up well and has never disappointed especially on the rough singletrack. If you are looking for a solid bike at a good price and don't care if you have the big name flash, this bike's for you. (Haro may not be a big name in mountain biking but with products like this, it deserves to be.) [NO I don't work for Haro :) ]

Bike Setup: Replacced the fork with a Manitou SXR to gain adjustability. The stock fork was ok but was a bit too soft (even when adjusted) for the kind of riding that I do. I also added pedals with toe clips rather than the clipless. We have a lot of rocks here and clipless would wear out as soon as I had to hike this thing over the rough sections. Also added a TopPeak cycling computer (it's held up well too, no matter how bad the trail).

Strengths: Manueverable..ICS/Shimano Deor is a plus..Weaknesses: The break system is OK , but I needed more...so I went with Avid Arch Rivals('CAUSE THEY KICK BUTT..)If you're going to ride for longer than it takes to get the store for a 40oz, get a better saddle...your rear will thank you..(there are lots of good ones to choose from ..so whatever works for you and your rear..)Bottom Line: I think this Bike can KiCK your Butt , with the right set up.Maneuvers realy well and handles hard rides just the same..Good price for what you get..(Plus..she likes Bad Boys that ride her hard)Plan to ride this one till my wheels Disinagrate...ALL in ALL............COOL buy for a Kick BUTT ride...PEACE...ONE LOVE SHADRACK

Strengths: (1) The Integrated Component System utilizing a pure Shimano Deore drive train.
(2) The frame fits my body quite well--it feels right.
(3) It is very maneuverable.Weaknesses: (1 ) The Deore brakes are very poor--the hard brake material scraped off some of the rim. When braking I noticed a grinding sound and when I checked my brakes I found pieces of metal imbedded in them. I took the brakes back to the dealer who replaced them immediately with Rim Wranglers using replaceble Kool Stops pads. I am really pleased with these brakes and have had no problems since I replaced them.
(2) The Koski Contour saddle was very uncomfortable so I replaced it with the Brooks Pro saddle I had originally purchased for my 1979 Univega Gran Primio road bike. It is much more comfortable, especially as I had already broken in that leather saddle.Bottom Line: This bike is very enjoyable to ride. After having a road bike for 22 years I was surprised at how easy it was to get into mountain biking and at how easy it was to ride this bike and how well it handles the horrible rocky terrain around our house. This bike is very maneuverable around tight spots. I rated this a 5 despite the bad brakes because that problem was fixed right away by the dealer who was reimbursed by Haro within the week. I have had no other problems with this bike and plan to ride this one for the next 22 years.
