Strengths: Very rigid frame with immediate feedback to steering input. Can be tossed into turns and slid around with ease. Fits into trunk of car with wheels removed.Weaknesses: Wrotten forks. Swapped out for Rock Shock Judy and made a huge improvement in performance. Weak brakes. Front deraleur broke and upgraded to XT improving shifting instantly.Bottom Line: Good entry level bike. You really need to work hard to race this bike as it weighs in at 27 lbs and that's a hardtail. Very forgiving handling and takes abuse well. You can really beat this bike to death and not spend a lot of money to determine if you really like mtb riding / racing.
I do not recommend you race this bike XC but it does really fly on the downhills and is really sharp in the twisty, switch back type of courses.

Strengths: Aggressive stance for fast downhills & power on up hill climbs. Light enough to throw around for a beginner/novice rider.Weaknesses: Crank set. Don't even want to go there!Bottom Line: Excellent for entry level rider. Bike is aggressive enough to take on any Mid-West trail. Would suggest up-grading front suspension.
Favorite Trail: Ft. Custer

Strengths: good take off, light as hellWeaknesses: kinda slow turnerBottom Line: awsome bike, doesn't really matter if it gets scratched up with the aluminum frame nice shocks, monatou, is a little slow at turning but that might just be me, it seems to be a good deal especially if you find it used, I got it for about half price and as I said the scratches don't matter, no rust,I'd say it's worth the money, happy trails.
Favorite Trail: anything local
Duration Product Used: Less than 1 month
Similar Products Used: none in hardtail but my old bike was a rigid kona fire mountain
