Strengths:    good overall performer. haven't had any problems, although i worked as a bike mechanic for a couple of years (when I was younger). if you are having problems it is because of improper adjustments etc....and or general whining

Weaknesses:    weight

Bottom Line:
Great buy! A little heavy, but hey eat a few less big macs.
I blow guys away with bikes costing 3 to 4 times as much. The fork is fine if you know what you are doing. I weigh 220 so I put heavier oil and get good performance. These things are $499 at price point! Road riders that want a weekend dirt toy this is a good purchase.

Strengths:    the look, lx derailer and thats about all

Weaknesses:    forkk is a peice of SH*T

Bottom Line:
dont waste your money upgrding this bike. buy some thing with a little more class say $1600 and then up grade it a little more. i think any one who buys this bike is wasting their money.

Strengths:    The Lx deralier is duriable and is ok. The deroe shifters do the trick well and are worthy. The rims are one of the best for the price. the crank set is great for the price.

Weaknesses:    the fork is crap it lacks strength, and it isnt worth the 60 $ mor then a magnum, i suggest getting a judy xc or better. The brakes or avgerage and possiabley should be replaced after a while

Bottom Line:
The price is excellent and it preforms well for an intermidate bike. I think a few simple upgrades are worthy. the frame is very duriable and is up to most chalenges.

Strengths:    lx parts, nice look

Weaknesses:    A lot of things. wieght, fork not that good, its not worth 50 dallors more than the magnum. Fork broke after a month, frame welding not so good. upgrade fork to sid i hear dukes arent that good so dont buy one of those.

Bottom Line:
not worth the money get a trek or gary fisher.
Expect the frame to not with stand much. I weigh 175 and broke shock after a couple of drops less than 3 1/2 feet. For beginner riders. Upgrade shock and rims and will make this bike not to shabby.

Strengths:    Good bike for the money. Entry level parts, with a great frame. The frame feels good. It is stiff, light and responsive.

Weaknesses:    Cheap front derailleur...change it as soon as it comes to your house... Bike is set up for cross-country out of the box...takes a little time to make it worth a darn on a downhill. The tires are WTB velorapters which are not good for mud, but great for general riding...the fork is low end, but with the money you save out of the shoot with the bike...you could afford to buy a better fork after you trash the stock fork.

Bottom Line:
Decent bike for the money. If you purchase it on Pricepoint...you will have enough money left over to actually drive somewhere cool to ride it...say Ft. Collins or Estes Park...
